PERIPHERY IN CONCERT:
Periphery has been at the epicenter of the progressive metal scene ever since first getting audiences thrashing back in 2005. The band's face-melting shows are a crash course in the unique metal subgenre known as djent, treating concertgoers to extensive breakdowns, complex rhythms, and plenty of seven string guitar. From the breakneck tempo and unexpected melodies of "Passenger" to the epic sonic onslaught of "Icarus Lives", Periphery is a heavy-hitting and unforgettable live act that always get pulses racing on tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Periphery formed in Washington, D.C. in 2005 and quickly built a following with their pioneering djent metal sound. The band spent its early years on the road touring tirelessly with acts like Veil of Maya, Darkest Hour, and The Dillinger Escape Plan. In 2010 they recruited lead vocalist Spencer Sotelo and released their self-titled debut album, an auspicious collection that peaked at No. 2 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and No. 12 on the Hard Rock chart. Following tours with Dream Theater and Protest The Hero, the band released their 2012 sophomore album Periphery II: This Time It's Personal -- a No. 3 hit on the Hard Rock chart that once again brought them out on tour. A powerful live act known for their high-octane live shows, Periphery continues to blow minds in concert.

These shows were so much fun! The set lists were great, everyone in the band was at the top of their game, and the crowd was singing along and bouncing around. One of the best live shows I’ve seen in a while!
One of the best set of shows ive ever seen. Absolutely incredible and cant wait to see them again
Periphery sounds incredible live. Spencer has the voice of an angel. Played a song from every album, so there was something for every fan there. Their crowd interaction was top tier and the crowd was going absolutely wild. The vibes were immaculate.
Periphery is the best in their genre and prove it every time they perform. You will not find a band as talented, authentic, groundbreaking, or as open to their fan base as them. They embody what it is to be an artist, and if you’re not already warped by mainstream media, you can be open to hear their message.
one of a kind experience at the periphery show!!! absolute legends.
No surprise at all, one of the most talented bands in every aspect. They brought the house down and hit on all songs. Perfect venue for both the Dallas and Ft. Worth shows, thoroughly enjoyed both. Love these guys and hope the keep making music and performing as long as they can!
Absolutely insane band, plini and Dawes were so good too, but there was two awful bands before periphery and plini, I have no idea why they are were there. All the rest was insane, they had a great playlist & so good sound
I went to the Huntington Paramount show while they were touring with Underoath. Spencer Sotelo’s voice is beautiful and destructive, carried forward by melodic genius from Misha Mansoor, Matt Halpern, Jake Bowen and Mark Holcomb. Absolutely crush it when it comes to the tone the band possesses. These 5 put on an excellent show and they are my favorite band. Cant wait for them to headline in NY one day!
Periphery was down to a 3-man show for this performance. The bassist Nolly had stopped touring a few years ago, one of the guitarists Mark has been absent for a month or so, and the vocalist Spencer could not sing much due to "Carolina allergies." I saw Periphery twice before which were awesome shows, so I'm glad this was not my first time seeing them. Perhaps with a couple members down and any anticipation of the inability to sing, the band should reschedule if possible. One of the other guitarists Jake kept up a great spirit when the band was down to 3 people, but Misha, another guitarist, was silent. There was no ceremony to their exit at the end of the concert. Plini, one of the other bands playing, definitely made this concert worth it, but I was still missing my dose of Periphery.
