Penn State Nittany Lions Football at Beaver Stadium
One of the most storied programs in college football history, the Penn State Nittany Lions offer a game-day experience second to none. Generations of Penn State fans congregate on Saturday morning in the Beaver Stadium parking lot for an iconic tailgate experience. Then the Blue Band's thunderous music sets the stage for 106,000+ excited fans as they welcome the team out onto the field chanting "We are Penn State! We are Penn State!" The Beav was voted USA Today's "Ultimate Stadium" in 2019, and it's the longtime home to the seven-time national champion Nittany Lions. The program has churned out NFL talents like steady running back Larry Johnson, punishing linebacker LaVar Arrington, Hall of Famers Franco Harris and Mike Munchak and, most recently, the dazzling Saquon Barkley of the New York Giants. The storied student section is one of the largest in the country, and they set the tone for loud and energetic marquee match-ups against Big Ten conference opponents like the Ohio State Buckeyes, Michigan Wolverines and Indiana Hoosiers. And while State College's temperatures can get cold in the dawn of winter, it feels like all of Happy Valley is at the stadium and the weather's nothing that a thick pair of gloves and a second (or third) layer can't take care of.
Penn State Nittany Lions Football History
The Penn State Nittany Lions play their games at Beaver Stadium at University Park, PA, just outside the Penn State Campus in State College, PA. With seating for 106,572, it has the second-largest capacity of any stadium in the Western Hemisphere. Since their first season in 1887, the Nittany Lions played their games as an independent program, before joining the Big Ten conference in 1993. The team has won seven national titles (two claimed), five of which came under the legendary Coach Joe Paterno. They have an overall bowl game record of 29-18-2, including a sparkling 7-0 record in the Fiesta Bowl, and they've been to a bowl game every year under current coach James Franklin.

Best Place in the World to watch a Football Game! So much school spirit! So fun!
I don’t have the time or interest in providing the painful details of attending the game on September 9. Will be watching the Nittany Lions on television going forward.
Great game but had periods of frustration. Wifi was horrible. As much money as PSU makes on these games, they need to invest some in connectivity upgrades. Had a horrible time accessing the Ticketmaster app in order to transfer the tickets to my daughter. Kept "spinning"and draining my battery to the point that the charge did not last the length of the game. With that in mind...I miss paper tickets. Oh..one more thing, it sounded like they still have the same tinny sound system they had in 1982. Other that that...loved it!
When 6:45 came about - I had to exit and re-enter to get in waiting room. It was the most stress 30 minutes of my life trying to get through. Is getting selected at 7 random - so if I enter at 6:45 or 6:53 - I have the same chances of getting tickets?
Best time in a college football stadium. Best student section in sports.
Admittedly, many students had not returned to campus from the Thanksgiving break for this game, but Penn State assured a true family atmosphere for the final regular season game of 2022. They now have traffic and parking down to a science, the staff in Beaver Stadium is friendly and helpful, and they don't gouge fans over the price of concessions. There is no longer any "dead time" during television commercial breaks, as there is always something fun going on in the stadium to keep the kids involved...and the adults, too. We can't wait until the 2023 season begins.
Everything went smoothly. Downloaded my tickets from the TicketMaster App to my iPhone Wallet. Checked in seamlessly and enjoyed a wet but still good game.
It shames me to say this as an OSU graduate, but Penn State has the best venue in sports. The only thing that might compare is the Indy 500. It is clearly the best football stadium bar none - and that includes college and pro. I am glad my Buckeyes won. I have to compliment the Penn State fans and staff. They were polite from start to finish. A+ on hospitality.
Ticket transfer worked great! Both receiving and sending.
