For rodeo-fans the world over, the Roundup is surely on the bucket list. Went during the opening day this year and it was phenomenal. All of the key rodeo events, with some mighty impressive rodeo cowboys and cowgirls. Even the "in-between" acts during the show are darn fun to watch, including the Indian show and Indian races- in fact, the races were a highlight for me.
The roundup aside, you couldn't ask for a more interesting setting than Pendleton itself. Steeped in history with lots of things to explore downtown and in the surrounding area, I was glad to have come all the way out there for a visit. Well worth it, and unforgettable.
If you want a little slice of true cowboy culture and some adventure besides, better put the Roundup on your list of things to do come September..
