This was the worst event I've ever been to at Blue Ocean. The singer is all decked out and the back up band was in jeans and looked like they didn't bathe. The music was awful and the singer, while for a great cause, was awkward. Someone else was in our seats and they wouldn't move....the usher told us to sit some where else!!
Awesome concert. I have been to several of Pauline's Christmas concerts most recently in Salisbury MA for the Children's Advocacy Center. Along with the band Devri and Boston PD Gaelic band, it doesn't get any better. Great show.
What a great night and such a great talent. Enjoyed the music of both Pauline and Devlin and the Boston Police Gaelic Band was a bonus
I brought three mature women with me. We were expecting the show to be v.good. One described it as one of the greatest shows she has ever been at, and believe me she has been to many over the years. Another said if one went in there with little Pride or Patriotism they as sure as hell would come out full of it. Another comment was that this show gave people a better sense of how much some individuals and families are prepared to sacrifice for us and for this country. Another tremendous part of the night was when the pipe bands lined up out on the street after the show and started to march to the drums and music in the direction of M.J.O'Connors followed by family and friends. People in cars and bystanders could not understand what was going on.
This show was great! The crowd was excited and the entertainment was first-rate. I took my 10 yr old daughter and she loved it. It was a great night out.
The improvement in your voice is indeed the greatest improvement. Yes you can tell over your wonderful voice and that your instructor has helped. You were so relaxed and if you were nervous it did not show at all. The powerful and heartfelt tone and true melody is so evident. You truly enjoy what you were doing. You did yourself and your family an honor. The only negative I heard was that not enough advertisement? My response was that the Tribute to the Veterans was sold out. That may mean a larger arena, and a bigger stage.
This show was awesome!!!! A wonderful tribute to all those who serve our country. God Bless America!!!!!!
The entire show with Pauline Wells was fantastic!! It was a perfect blend of seriousness, happiness, sadness, heartfelt thanks, pride, and wonder in the whole evening! It was all done with such a blend of different music ...truly "something for everyone".....yet, we all felt the common bond and pride for our veterans, while enjoying a wonderful show ...all at the same time!! The "parade" through the streets of Boston was also great! Thankyou, Pauline, and everyone involved! We hope you do it again next year!
Pauline's tribute to veterans served a numbers of purposes. She honored those who served and are serving in our Military, she raised money for two VERY deserving groups, and she provided an evening of entertainment that was outstanding to those of us who attended.Mom, Wife, Cop, & Entertainer, she does it all, and does it well.
Was at the show and thought the whole night was great fron start to finish. Both Boston & The NYPD were great, really funny comedian & Pauline Wells sounded great. My only wish was that the band 'Devri' were not featured more in their own capacity, not just as Wells' backing band. When the had the stage to themselves they really rocked the place and almost brought the house down !! Great Show, great tribute & great cause......well done.
