Paul Thorn does it once again

by Jody on 3/11/24The Vogel at Count Basie Center for the Arts - Red Bank

This is the fourth time I have seen Paul . I have seen him in Arizona, New York State, Connecticut and now New Jersey. This show was suppose to be Thorn and Polk, but Was a solo show due to illness. Once again Paul Thorn did not disappoint. Great show nice venue

Paul is in a class of his own

by Braz on 12/14/23The Lyric Theatre - Birmingham

While not well known, Paul Thorn is a fantastic performer and his stories and songs are so down to earth and close to the heart. I could see him once a month forever and enjoy each and every one. I love his small venues and his personal upfront contact with the audience. Excellent!

    Birmingham Concert

by Tom B on 11/21/23The Lyric Theatre - Birmingham

Beautiful theater, good sound and not a bad seat in the house. Paul Thorn was as usual, very warm and personable. He shared some jokes and stories which we love. But most of all Paul's songs really tell a story and the audience relates to them. Had a great night.

Great songwriter. Even better storyteller. Can relate to this southern man’s life trials and adventures.

Great performer! So much stage presence.

by Paul Thorn Live on 11/21/23The Lyric Theatre - Birmingham

We discovered Paul about 9 years ago. We have been to multiple performances. It is always a treat to see him. He connects so well with the audience; at the end of the concert, you swear he is your best friend. He introduces his songs with stories about his past. I imagine they are semi true, slightly embellished. But it gives you a view into his background growing up as PK with his dad being a Church of God preacher. The music is southern rock with a hint of gospel. If you are from the south the songs speak to your heritage.

An incredibly fun night with a great songwriter

by Mamadr on 11/19/23Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

We saw Paul Thorn at the Bijou Theater in Knoxville, TN. This was not the first I had seen him, but it was the first for my friend. His is just a terrific live show! Paul is an engaging entertainer, his songs are fun and soulful, and his band is just perfect. I love how he shines a light on people who not everyone considers heroes. But in his music and the passion of his performance, they are certainly heroes. We both left with big smiles on our faces.

    Sound needs work

by Di on 11/19/23Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

Love Paul Thorn. Love the Bijou. But somehow the combination of the two did not result in a happy sound mix. When Paul played and sang without the band, the sound was excellent, but when the band kicked in, it was muddy and overpowered Paul’s vocals. Disappointing.

    by M on 12/21/22Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

I bought the tickets from a friend and so glad I did! What a show! Paul Thorn is an exceptional songwriter, entertainer, and overall person. I’m definitely a fan now. His band is talented as well and they work so well together. We will definitely be seeing him and his band again.
