Susie Essman is a true treasure! I loved every bit of her act. Pat Cooper was good too though most of his material is very familiar to his fans. Still a very very enjoyable evening and would see it again!

    Susie Essman and Pat Cooper

by HSCCC on 9/15/12Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

Essman, a real pro, was great, the routines from her book were right there. She picked on a number of audience members as I knew she would. Cooper, is an O L D Borsch Belt Comedian. A number of his "bits" were great, most were worthy of a smile. Went on a bit too long.

    Essman Funny/ Cooper Not!

by bandl142 on 9/15/12Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

The best part of the show was the warmup comedian, Ryan Fitzpatrick. He is hysterical.! Susie Essman was good. She does repeat much of her repetoire, but does it well. Pat Cooper, as I remember, used to be funny. In the 20 minutes we listened to him, he had one marginally funny joke. Then we walked out! Amazing how he has lost it.

These four all veterans of stand-up comedy connected to and satisfied and equally veteran and experienced audience. The material was vintage, the delivery was energetic and professional and everyone had a good time.

Pat Cooper shouted into the microphone--he should not be doing stand up anymore. And he was rarely funny--just a malcontent. Thank goodness for Bill Ervolino who was delightful.
