The Toronto Pan Am Games Equestrian Jumping - Medal was fantastic. Well organized, excellent facility, volunteers were outstanding too. Very exciting and exceeded expectations. Thank you Toronto and Palgrave!!!!
Great day in the stands watching these beautiful horses and skilled riders. Seats were good and glad there was food with drinks and plenty of room to sit. Would have liked to see better parking facilities-we went with an infant and it was cumbersome to load them up into the bus and get transported to the arena with stroller and everything. Apart from that-gorgeous day in the country, fun and relaxing!
Received an email a week or 10 days before the event telling me that I would not be able to park at the venue for cross country, but that spectators would be shuttled from the Albion Hills Conservation area to the venue, Will O' Wind Farms. Left myself lots of time to gt to the parking spot, be shuttled and probably catch the first rider at 11....only to be met at the gate of the Conservation Area by someone telling me that we'd been emailed incorrect parking instructions and that in fact, yes, there was parking at the venue itself. We were handed new driving instructions to get there, at least another 20 minutes, perhaps longer with the traffic volume. The volume of folks doing the same thing meant we arrived late of course. VERY disappointing and also surprising for an event of the caliber to make such a gross error. Still enjoyed the event itself of course. Nicely laid out and well organized at the venue.
Even though I was disappointed I could not park at the venue, I found the parking and shuttle service convenient and well organized. The venue itself was impressive with major upgrades done for the PanAm games. It was colourful, very clean and very well designed despite the rain that fell the night before. The temporary flooring was excellent and the natural paths well groomed, so noone had to step in a puddle or mud. However, the sound was way too quiet. Even if I strained to hear what was being said, the background noise of people around me totally drowned out the announcer (and I do not have any hearing issues). I was not able to understand anything that was said over the sound system. A roof would have been very much appreciated as well. During the event it got very hot and sitting in the sun made me want to pass out. The volunteers were plenty, very cheerful and eager to help. Truly, attending this venue made me proud to be Canadian! I was impressed.
Extremely well organized, great facility, the Dressage competitors were superb. Go Chris Von Martels who won Bronze!
We really enjoyed the dressage medal performances.
It was awful. Very poorly organized. We had to wait over 1 hour to park. We could not park at the event. Once finally parked we had to walk in the heat to be transported by a school bus! At the event we had to walk a long distance in the heat. The stadium was not covered, people started leaving after about 1 hr. We stayed 1 1/2 hrs. Then the bus driver misdirected us to the wrong parking lot. We are extremely disappointed.
