    Five Points Ampitheatre, Irvine

    by Dlam6511 on 9/7/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

Very "temporary" feel to the entire event. Not permanent seats. No pleasant place to "picnic" before the concert. Noisy just from people walking on metal stairs. Not pleasant bathroom facilities. Long walk from parking area. Parking area was not well marked with enough signs. Difficult to find car after event because of lack of location signs and also lighting that kept going out. Very expensive beer, wine and concessions. We sue hope Pacific Symphony Orchestra can improve their "patron experience " next year.

    Five Point Amphitheatre

by MJH on 9/7/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

Location great, parking easy, sound quality fantastic, easy to get to food and beverages. Only bummer, Very small, hard plastic seats that were not stable - made it hard to enjoy the show

    Pacific symphony-poorly instructed staff

by Val B on 9/7/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

The Pacific symphony were awedome, sadly the first half was so noisy with people arriving late, I was ubable to enjoy the music. Many people in my area were also disappointed. One guy next to me said he'd been coming to this concert for 20 years and this was the worst due to the people walking in front of up, and people coming up and down the stair which were noisy. They state if you are not in your seat, you have to wait outside until there's a break in the music. The staff did not adhere to those rules.

    Beautiful Music with Distractions

by Kitts on 9/7/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

Synphony was incredible. But... Seats were smaller than elementary school chairs. Plus you are right next to the person beside you and in front and back. When the person in front of you stands up their rear is right in your face! If you are concerned about emergency exiting then this venue is not for you. Every row only had one way out. I sat in seat section 302 and I was trapped next to a rail. Only way out was to wait behind those in seats 2-10 to exit through the only way out. Stadium seating is up on metal scaffolds so you hear every step everyone takes. Then, the staff themselves carried on with loud conversations and rolled clanging carts. Five Point Amphitheater in Irvine is NOT a venue for classical music.

    The Pacific Symphony was fun.

by MrFabulousOne on 9/7/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

The concert was definitely worth the money. The screens showing the musicians playing was a really benefit as you could see them play up close. Especially the pianist as there was an overhead camera showing his finger movements.

    Bad venue for soft music

by Sue on 9/7/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

The music was beautiful and often very quiet. The stadium was metal and any movement made a lot of noise including people dropping things, walking around, and some repair work that was done during the concert. The seats were too close to the next row and left no room for my legs. Some forklift kept beeping and after intermission they drink booths loudly shut down during the second act. Parking was free, but we were told to turn into an area that they later said we would get towed from. Had we walked slower and not seen other people frantically moving their cars we would have been towed. Correct communication and signage is vital. The clear bag policy is irritating. The music was beautiful but not always lively. Of course this was an outdoor concert due to the fireworks, but either livelier music should have been picked or it should have skipped fireworks and gone indoors.

    FivePoint Amphitheater

    by T on 9/7/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

The symphony was amazing as usual but this venue needs work. The sounds is not good unless you are dead center and the bleachers are tacky and incredibly noisy any time someone walks anywhere. This is a sad replacement for Irvine Meadows which was amazing.

Venue is disrespectful to the artists

by Steph on 9/7/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

FivePoint amphitheater is a terrible venue to see an orchestra perform. The metal stands in the center of the amphitheater pick up every single movement and sound from the audience and there is no crowd control on coming and going during the performance. Vendors could be heard talking and working as the sounds echo through the stadium. Some sort of alarm , like a truck backing up, was going off during the performance, it was very disrespectful to the Pacific symphony orchestra, who puts on an amazing performance. We will not be back to this venue

    Wonderful music! facility needs improvement...

by Dassie on 9/7/22FivePoint Amphitheatre - Irvine

As a classical music lover, I was looking forward to this special annual concert. We attended it several years ago at the old Irvine Meadows and loved the experience, sharing a family picnic before the concert, being able to spread blankets and cuddle with our kids and grandkids during the concert. The music, as always, was wonderful. However, this (albeit temporary) facility doesn't really work. The metal steps, that is very noisy every time someone steps on them, the vendors that are not being trained properly to be quiet while the orchestra is playing, took away from our enjoyment. I, for one, will wait patiently until the new, permanent FivePoint amphitheater is completed, before coming again to the summer concert and hope that that one will bring back the true fun of outdoor music. Until then, I'll continue to enjoy the beautiful music of the Pacific Symphony at the amazing concert hall.
