Pacific Air was formed in 2012 by siblings Ryan and Taylor Lawhon, who originally performed under the name KO KO. Influenced by R&B, hip hop, and new age, the siblings began to create music that encompassed the genres they grew up listening to while creating a sound all their. The band gained popularity when they released their demos on Bandcamp in 2012, and soon after they signed with Republic Records. They changed their name to Pacific Air for their debut EP Long Live KOKO, which pays homage to their original moniker. The group continued to generate blog buzz earn an underground following with popular remixes of major indie bands like Ra Ra Riot and Robert Delong. Their 2013 full-length debut Stop Talking earned widespread acclaim from critics and fans alike and sparked several tours as an opening act for Passion Pit, Atlas Genius, and Walk the Moon. A rising new act to watch, Pacific Air delivers a must-see show full of lighthearted pop tunes every time they take the stage.
