PBR: Professional Bull Riders on Tour

For a rodeo rider, trying to master a feisty horse is tough enough, a task not to be taken lightly, but bearing down on a big bull increases the scariness quotient considerably. That's one of the things that makes watching a pro bull rider so compelling — it's thrilling and frightening in equal measure as you marvel at the riders' skills while praying that they make it out unscathed.

These days, when it comes to bull riding, it's all about PBR: Professional Bull Riders. The organization started back in 1992 as a grassroots effort spearheaded by a handful of riders with a vision for what the sport could offer to fans. PBR grew by leaps and bounds over the decades, and by the 2010s they were sponsoring three major tours every year, adding up to hundreds of events with millions of dollars in prizes being awarded annually.

Needless to say, attending a PBR event means watching the best bull riders in the business strutting their stuff. Over the years, champs like J.B. Mauney, Kody Lostroh, Justin McBride, Adriano Moraes, Chris Shivers, and Tuff Hedeman have all distinguished themselves as decorated heroes of the PBR, giving all the rest a high standard to which they could aspire. And each of their tours offer fans the opportunity to catch some bull riding history in the making, be it the Unleash the Beast Series that ends with the PBR World Finals in Las Vegas, The Velocity Tour that showcases the rising stars of the PBR, or the Touring Pro Division split into Western, Central, and Eastern regions.

Whichever PBR competition you end up catching, there's one common thread. You're guaranteed to see some world-class athletes reaching deep inside themselves to tap into the best of their talents and give rodeo lovers an unforgettable experience.

    Extremely misleading

by MC Hammed on 12/20/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

The Kid Rock RockNRodeo was extremely disappointing. Advertising did not match the actual event. $270 US for tickets to see PBR folks talk about making teams for 20mins, with no performances. When in fact it was supposed to be hosted by Cole Hauser, having live entertainment. We are huge PBR and Kid Rock fans and our group came from Canada to attend this "can't-miss event". We hope that PBR and Kid make this right again for fans that attended, since it doesn't look good on either brand by duping fans.

    Bait & Switch

by Joe on 12/16/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Bought tickets ($250 each) to this event thinking Kid Rock would be performing as it was listed with his upcoming concerts. Several people I talked with in line & at the event thought the same thing. I think about 70% of the people there thought so. It turned out to be a couple celebrities expressing their personal and some political views for an hour. Kid Rock seemed in a hurry to get out of there. This was by far the worst money I have ever spent for an event anywhere. A huge waste of time & money. A 1 star rating cause there is no 0.

Event held did not meet expectations

by DD on 12/16/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

This was a disappointing event. Kid Rock did not sing. The amount paid was ridiculous for this event. We were extremely disappointed and let down and we were not the only ones. Still looking for compensation/refund.

Waste of time. Kid Rock PBR

by Camper on 12/16/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Kid Rock (who I’m a fan of) hitched his name to this and then charged $300 per ticket and didn’t even sing a song. Everyone there was totally disappointed as they felt they got ripped off. I wouldn’t have even paid 50 for this if I knew KR was not going to sing one song. Don't waste your time with this event! Cmon KR…I thought u cared a little more about your hard working fans!

    Outrageous false advertisement

by MusicAdentureFan on 12/16/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

This was not a Kid Rock concert, despite the very misleading description under the “get tickets” link: “Kid Rock's Rock N' Rodeo is a reimagined, team-formatted Western event, with six teams competing in bracket-style competition featuring Kid Rock live in concert, playing all his hits and more as well as other musical acts curated by the artist who has sold nearly 30 million records.” People travelled from all over the US, paid $300-500 per ticket, plus flight, hotel, and recording everything in Vegas to wait in line for 2 hours vying for optimal seats to see Kid Rock perform at 9:00. As every 30 minutes passed, with teasers of Kid Rock songs being played, the audience was ecstatic when he finally came on stage at 10:20 pm, only to wait another 1 hours for him to completely exit the stage with no performance of any of his known music (besides a 20 second rap solo to no music whatsoever). Really,?! We paid $300 each for 20 seconds of rap? Fans remained 2.5 more hours in hope he would return to stage. I was not only outraged that I left my family at home for what I thought was a rare opportunity to see Kid Rock in fairly intimate venue, this worth the $1000 this trip and the ticket cost me, but I felt horrible on behalf of those who had literally planned this trip as their Christmas and/or annual vacation, completely deceived and likely devastated. I am certain that Livenation will not tolerate such deception and wi reach conclusion with PBR and Kid Rock, folloei the misleading ticket description, to provide full refunds plus discount to another show in attempt to remedy the lost time and money for hundreds of fans.

    Feel misled, disappointed

by Shawna M on 12/16/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

This was not advertised properly. We spoke with many other people who attended and they ALL thought it more than just a DJ and a promotional interview for PBR. During the interviews, it was hard to hear what the people were saying and we had expected a completely different type of event. Everyone expected Kid Rock to sing a few songs rather than paying that kind of money for a DJ and a 30 minute talk about PBR. Way overpriced for what the event entailed. Would not recommend. Money would have better spent at a number of other events being held at the same time. Very disappointed.

    At Least It Was Expensive

by Pdierson on 12/16/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Kid Rock's Rock N' Rodeo Party hosted by Cole Hauser: At no point was this event marketed as NOT being a Kid Rock performance. This was a glorified press conference for PBR to unveil a commercial that you’d see on tv the next day. Every single person we spoke to at the event thought they purchased tickets to a Kid Rock concert. $250 per GA ticket to see Kid Rock speak for 90 seconds and then sit back down on the side of the stage. Absolutely shameful misrepresentation of the event. Try this with Taylor Swift tickets too. I’m sure nobody will complain.

    Very misleading.

by Cam on 12/16/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

I definitely wouldn’t have paid double to see Kid Rock set on a couch. Venue was good and the DJ was great but definitely feel ripped off!!

    Kid rock PBR

by Pete on 12/16/23House of Blues Las Vegas - Las Vegas

This was the biggest con event ever !!! To pay $300 for a ticket to see a PBR info-mercial. All attendees thought it was going to be a KId Rock performance. But it was the CEO of PBR selling his event in Dallas. It was so bad the entire staff at house of blues started apologizing.
