by Yemaya53 on 7/27/11Paradise Rock Club - BostonThe kind of energy generated by Sagare and her band were just spectacular: luscious, potent, and purifying. The percussionist (playing a djembe?) was simply outstanding. Even though he was playing one drum it sounded like he was playing two or three drums at the same time. That takes more than talent. Sangare's voice is one of the most powerful in the world and totally heartfelt. Her back up singer and dancer was exceptional, the kora player tremendous. Transformative!
