To borrow a phrase, Absolutely Fabulous!
by DanceWacko on 6/26/13Coliseum Ballroom - St PetersburgTwo great Latin orchestras, Orquestra Aragon from Havana, Cuba and a local band. Each played two full sets of very danceable Latin music. Orquestra Aragon was the group that introduced the Cha Cha to the world, and have not lost their touch. Between sets there were dance exhibitions by US and World dance champions in many different genres. The dancers happened to be in town due to the Millennium Dancesport competion that was held until that morning in Tampa. The Millennium also brought out many other dancers to Afternoon in Havana, so the level of general dancing was very high as well. Great Cuban food, plenty of room on the dance floor and wonderful music. Who could ask for more? If you missed it, look for it next year. Highly recommended!
