    Unbelievable performance

by Abby8622 on 5/25/16Charline McCombs Empire Theatre - San Antonio

I have been to the opera before but this was my husband's first time and he absolutely loved it. He wants to buy season tickets he can't wait to for another show. I thought it was elegantly understated. All of the performers were incredible.

Who Knew Opera Could Be So Much Fun?!

by Unicornpeg on 2/14/16Charline McCombs Empire Theatre - San Antonio

Friends told me there was going to be a Star Trek opera. They know I love trying new and unusual adventures. I've never been to the Charlene McCombs theatre before and was a bit surprised how close it is to the Majestic and the Aztec. Picking up my tickets was easily done--from now on will buy from the box office to save money. John Delancey -- Q-- was there doing photo ops and chatting with guests. A great way to begin this event! A few cast members in costume also helped greet and set the tone for the evening. I will say that the mezzanine seats are not comfortable or spacious in the leg department. The show itself was light and funny. Definitely for Star Trek fans since much of the humor is probably funny only to people who watch the shows. I hope more mash ups are to come. This was a great way to bring opera to people who might not normally attend. Encore!

    Had Fun

by Patron12345 on 2/10/16Charline McCombs Empire Theatre - San Antonio

First time ever to an "opera." My wife and I enjoyed the performance. A comment for improvement would be to open the "bar" on the mezzanine so we could purchase a drink without having to travel all the way downstairs. Other than that, we had a great time.

    Star Trek Opera

by Sterlington on 2/9/16Charline McCombs Empire Theatre - San Antonio

Hilarious!!! Captain Belamonte kept the audience in stitches with his capt, kirk body language. Of course, Mozart was well performed and a delight to listen to. Kudos to the orchestra. Well done and never boring.

    Excellent

by Judith041207 on 2/9/16Charline McCombs Empire Theatre - San Antonio

The performance was excellent. The show was hysterical and the actors were amazing. I came into this show not really thinking I would enjoy it but boy was I completely wrong. We also brought our 9 year old daughter because she is a big fan of Star Trek and she won the costume contest. Ella was mesmerized by the show and she couldn't stop talking about it on the way home. I will differently start looking at the performances at this theater. The actors and staff at this venue could not have been any nicer to us and our daughter.

    La Curandera

by Blueheat on 2/18/14Charline McCombs Empire Theatre - San Antonio

The story line was great! The performers chosen and the costuming left much to be desired. It was a Mexican based story line and the character was wearing a flamenco Spanish dress. It's not that the performance was bad but it's hard to believe that were no Latinos available to play these roles.
