About

English singer/songwriter Olly Murs’ world changed in 2009 when he performed a compelling rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition,” stunning “The X Factor” U.K. judge Simon Cowell. Though he ended the season’s sixth series as the runner-up, Murs was just beginning a rocketing music career, which now includes a record deal with Epic Records in the U.K. and Columbia Records stateside.

From the beginning, the 20-something pop crooner has collaborated with some of the genre’s biggest tickets. His 2010 eponymous debut features a track co-written with Ed Sheeran, while a more recent album — 2012’s “Right Place Right Time” — includes special guest Flo Rida on the contagious “Troublemaker.” Murs, who’s vocally reminiscent of Maroon 5’s Adam Levine, has a malleable handle on the genre, moving from the pop-soul of “Troublemaker” to conjuring up memories of ’50s rock and roll with his single “Dance With Me Tonight.”

On the tour circuit, Murs has not only supported Robbie Williams and One Direction on massive runs, but he’s also headlined his own arena concerts across the U.K.

    Olly was amazing!!!

by linabeena on 5/26/13The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver Spring

Although it was very crowded on the floor of the Fillmore (to an almost unbearable point), and Olly took his time getting on stage, all of it finally became worth it when he started!!! He has a beautiful voice live, and does his best to be lively and rile up the crowd. He is a great dancer, too! If you're thinking about seeing him in concert, buy the tickets now!

Olly Murs is a Fantastic Performer

by Westney on 5/18/13Center Stage - Atlanta

Olly Murs really knows how to work a crowd. Playing in front of a packed house at the small but cozy Center Stage venue in Atlanta, he interacted really well with the enthusiastic crowd. He has a great live voice and has some cute dance moves as well. I wish him the best of luck as he continues to try to make a name for himself in across the pond!

OLLY MURS - 29th Birthday Celebration!!

by gregb on 5/16/13The Fillmore - San Francisco

Olly Murs has been on his record release tour in the US for a few weeks trying to break into this market. Already a significant entertainer in the UK after being a runner up on the X Factor 3 or 4 years ago, Olly has done arena tours in the UK having 3 albums out. His Troublemaker and Dear Darlin are getting radio play in the US and the result was a horde of teen girls at his Fillmore show. Not a great night for the bartenders!! Olly came on at 9 pm and played through his 75 minute set Although the audience sang happy birthday to him his set was pretty much the same as all stops. He is a charming guy who dances, mugs and sings fun pop songs. The audience screamed at the end of each song but it wasn't sustained applause. Overall very enjoyable evening from nice guy Olly Murs.

Olly Murs had some great energy and it was an overall fun night. The opening act (Before You Exit) came on at 8pm and performed for an hour, followed by Olly, who performed for an hour and a half. The concert was fun and really energetic. However, most of the audience consisted of middle school and high school girls, with parents sitting in the back. It was a little disconcerting, especially with their crazy admiration of Before You Exit. Also, I found Olly to be overly sexual - it was funny and entertaining the first few times, but it got old quickly and it didn't help to be surrounded by a crazy teens. Nonetheless, one of the best singers I've seen on stage and it was definitely a night to remember!

    AMAZING SHOW!!!!!!

by burnsblaster23 on 5/14/13Center Stage Theatre - Atlanta

Olly Murs show had great energy! The only sad part was that we were expecting a longer show (we had looked up his concert in the UK---much longer). So glad he came to the States, though...loved it!

Olly was absolutely wonderful! Great setlist and performance! However the crowd was terrible to deal with. I realized that only at the age of 23 that I am already too old to be dealing with the type of fans that his concerts attract. Be prepared to deal with girls who have no regard for those around them and have absolutely no manners.

Olly Murs Rocked the House of Blues

by JackieS24 on 5/11/13House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

It was great time, had a great spot, and Olly was perfect! Advice: Get there early if ever at the House of Blues to get great seats, because it is all general admission.

    Olly is unbelieveable!

by AnotherSheerio on 5/10/13Center Stage Theatre - Atlanta

This was the greatest concert I have ever been to. The opening act, Before You Exit, was surprisingly great (I didn't know anything about them prior to the concert), and they got the crowd all pumped up before Olly came on stage. Once he did, the energy in the room was honestly electric: everyone was in the groove and dancing along, because he just drew you in! His dancing was amazing, his singing was perfection, and he consistently acknowledged the crowd and tried to get everyone involved in the experience. He moved seamlessly between uptempo and fun songs to slow and emotional songs. I was never even CLOSE to bored/tired, and I couldn't believe when the concert was over because I just lost track of time! Overall, this concert was one of the best nights of my life, and I hope Olly comes back to Atlanta soon!
