About

Icelandic six-piece Of Monsters and Men have delighted audiences around the world with their uplifting English folk-pop sound, full of soaring harmonies and captivating melodies. The monster hit “Little Talks” was many fans’ introduction to the band – it was certified Platinum in the US, reaching No. 1 on the US Alternative chart. 2013 saw the band wowing ticket buyers at live concerts and festivals, showing they’re just as talented on stage as in the recording studio. Formed in 2010, the band met with success quickly, winning Iceland’s annual band competition Músíktilraunir later that year. In 2011, Of Monsters and Men signed to Record Records and released the Into the Woods EP. Their debut album My Head is an Animal was released in Iceland in September 2011 and in the US in April 2012 by the Universal Music Group. The album – full of  acoustically driven, infectiously energetic folk-rock – peaked at No. 6 on the US Billboard 200 album chart and reached the top 5 in Australia, Canada, Germany, and the UK.

Great Venue to watch this concert!!

by Indie Music Lover on 1/11/20The Fillmore Charlotte presented by Cricket Wireless - Charlotte

I loved everything about the venue, the opening act and of course the main act Of Monsters and Men. The only downfall, I wish the main act would have played longer than the opening act.

    Mediocre

by M. S. on 12/6/19The Fillmore Charlotte presented by Cricket Wireless - Charlotte

The performance lacked the hard hitting, strong vocals found on their album. The venue had a good selection of adult beverages at venue prices, as expected. Bathrooms were clean and orderly as well. Will I come back to the Filmore? Yes. Will I pay to see Of Monsters and Men again (plus 20% “service charge)? Unlikely.

    Great Show

by Bullmoon on 12/6/19Coca-Cola Roxy - Atlanta

The Coca-Cola Roxy is one of the best venues in Atlanta with spectacular sound and a reasonably intimate viewing experience. No matter where you are, you are in a good spot. So this was the perfect place for a very vocal/harmony focused band like Of Monsters and Men. The show was great and they sounded fantastic.

    great show, too short

by Laughsalot on 12/6/19The Fillmore Charlotte presented by Cricket Wireless - Charlotte

So the venue was great. The band was amazing as usual, but the their time on stage was very short 9:10pm until 10:20pm AND no encore....Boooooo!

    Awesome show

by RC on 12/6/19The Fillmore Charlotte presented by Cricket Wireless - Charlotte

This venue gives you a much more intimate experience. OMAM is an amazing band, and The Foxies that went on before them were great. Both bands seemed comfortable at The Fillmore which made for a more enjoyable concert.

    Set too short

by b.김 on 12/6/19The Fillmore Charlotte presented by Cricket Wireless - Charlotte

I love of monsters of men and the show was awesome. However, I feel like the set was too short. Based on my photos they played for only 1 hour and 10 minutes. I never been to a concert where the headliner played for such a short time. And I’ve been to so many concerts over the years. Not sure if that was the band or the event. But would have loved if they played longer.

    OMAM Concert

by Johnny on 12/5/19Coca-Cola Roxy - Atlanta

Great show in a great venue. Of Monsters and Men is one of my favorite bands. I had never seen them live before, and i was curious how they would sound. The band did not disappoint. Great musicians with a great stage presence. I could have listened all night. The Roxy staff were helpful upon arrival. Overall, a great experience. I will definitely be back.

    Great band!

    by C. on 10/1/19WAMU Theater - Seattle

The official lockers (Walkers Lockers) by WaMu seemed unsecured. A plastic bin with plastic bags doesn’t make me feel that my belongings are safe.

What was with the blinding lights?

by Earl on 10/1/19WAMU Theater - Seattle

Sat up in the bleachers and the bright flashing lights were intolerable. Music was good though.

    Good show, but long intermission

by JohnD on 10/1/19UBC - Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - Vancouver

Both the performances by Lower Dens and Of Monsters and Men were really good, and the light show to go with everything was fantastic. The one thing I wasn't a big fan of was the 40 MINUTE GAP between both bands. Lowers Dens finished around 8:30 PM, they threw on all the normal lights, and then Of Monsters and Men didn't come on until just after 9 PM, and then they played for about an hour.
