The Little Sisters of Hoboken are off on their newest "Nunsense" adventure, this time heading to Tinseltown. They are thrilled at the prospect of performing at the Hollywood Bowl until they discover they are booked into the Hollywood Bowl-A-Rama, not the famous "Bowl!" But when they hear that a big-time producer is auditioning people for a new movie musical about the life of Dolores Hart, the famous movie star who became a nun, their spirits soar! Could this be their big break? Featuring all new songs, audience participation, and heavenly humor, ABC Television calls this show, "Hilarious, Wacky, and Unpredictable!" It would be a sin to miss Cindy Williams, the lovable star of "Laverne & Shirley," as Mother Superior along with the original New York cast in this zany new musical comedy. The New York Times says, "The 'Nunsense' shows have raised the human spirit!"
have been to other "NUNSENSE" PERFORMANCES and this was the worst. The sound was impossible. It was atrocious, unable to understand words from the 2nd row. The story line was wanting and the director rushed the performers. It was lacking the comedic timing of all other performances. Horrible !!!!
Over the years I have been to many productions and I have to say Nunset Blvd ranks in the bottom 3. Not much to review.......just was not appealing ......... we left at intermission (along with many others).......so I guess that says it all.
I enjoyed the show but wouldn't pay to see it again.
Really really bad. . . we left after the first act.
Good voices and acting but not up to 55.00 for a ticket. Most show at the Effingham Preformance center for 55.00 are more name stars. This was led to believe that it was after the NUNSENSE play on broadway.
Took my Mom to this show for her birthday and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. Very entertaining, beautiful voices, talented and funny cast and kept the audience captivated. Job well done Ladies!
