    Sacramento Deserves Professional Soccer

by Bcrough11 on 7/22/13Raley Field - West Sacramento

Very fun afternoon/evening at Raley Field. The main event of having a British Premier League team play in Sacramento was one for the history books. Turnout of approximately 14,000 people and many more could have come. Sacramento definitely deserved having this opportunity and hopefully, or Premier sides, whether from Britain, Germany, Spain, etc. will soon follow in future seasons. Welcome Sacramento Republic FC.

    A Blast for Soccer Fans

I attended this match with fellow players for my adult armature soccer teams and we all had a fun time. The stadium was packed and we were all in a really fun cheering section.

    Norwich City FC

by Anonymous on 7/22/13Raley Field - West Sacramento

This was a great opportunity to see an EPL team live and in person. The seats behind the goal were excellent. The only drawback was in the second half when a bunch of drunk frat boys invaded our section and took all the seats that were unoccupied. Considering we paid almost $100 for our seats, I really wish they had people checking tickets for the section. The distraction almost ruined the match.

Greatest Soccer event in Sac history

by MrNational on 7/22/13Raley Field - West Sacramento

The soccer doubleheader at Raley Field was an historic night for Sacramento. The Sac all-stars played an exciting match vs. Earthquakes reserves ( who had 2 local stars on their roster- Tommy Thompson and Chris Wright) and the last minute goal to tie was epic. The Norwich ( NORICH) side showed their superiority in the second half and the record crowd of over 14,000 was appreciative. The new Sac Republic FC team was unveiled and moves forward with high hopes. A great night for Soccer fanaticos !!!!

Great Game, Horrible Event Parking Management

by sldarb1 on 7/22/13Raley Field - West Sacramento

The game, atmosphere, weather, and backdrop were great. Unfortunately, we had to drive to get the game and parking was horrible and expensive. They resorted to parking us on the street and still had to pay $15 which seems illegal. People missed some of the game. They weren't prepared for this amount of people.

    Match was great, but...,

by Jackalsmom on 7/21/13Raley Field - West Sacramento

The match was really good, and our view from our seats was great. In fact, I don't think there was a bad seat anywhere in the stadium. That said, I signed my kids up for the after-game promotion where they got to kick for a goal against a real pro goalie. The goalie was great! He kidded with the kids. He took it easy on the little ones and he smacked the balls out for the big kids in all sorts of creative and funny ways. But it was so disorganized that we waited for over an hour to get to kick, as dozens and dozens of people cut in front of us in line, and none if the organizers did anything about it. WORST of all! When we were done, we were told to go out a side door where there were no security people at all, and very little lighting, and the door locked behind is. And because parking was so bad, we had to walk alone in the dark fir a very long distance, just me and my two children! It was scarey AND dangerous! I would like to take my children to future matches, but I absolutely won't unless security and parking are fixed!

    Facility

by Excoach on 7/21/13Raley Field - West Sacramento

Game was enjoyable. Entire event was exciting to see soccer grow in the Sacramento area. Only issue for me was the poor plan for traffic and parking. At River Cat games all that seems to go smoothly, but for this event it was crazy. Much better planning could have taken place to get people in and out of the parking lots. If it is not the next time such an event is held, it will need to be the last time we go except for River Cat games.

Soccer Rocks! Support the Republic FC!

by Gambed on 7/21/13Raley Field - West Sacramento

Fun event at a great venue (Raley Field). The management of the new Sacramento Pro Soccer franchise, Republic FC, seems to have it together. Beer prices are too high. That's it.

    Sacramento needs an MLS team!!

by APKeeper on 7/21/13Raley Field - West Sacramento

Great event all the way around. Our entire family loved it. Our boys were stoked to see a Primiere League team play, too. Sacramento needs more professional soccer. I guess these types of events can hold us off until we have our own team.
