Took me back to the rave scene from the early 90's
by blueskiesbri on 7/2/12The Fox Theater - Pomona - PomonaThis event was recommended to me by one of my DJ friends, Bonebrakez. It was incredible! There were two floors (the main room and then on the rooftop of the Fox Theatre!). The main room played nonstop breakbeats and all the classic early 90's rave anthems we've all come to enjoy, and the rooftop played more jungle style. Some of the DJ's I remember were: MellinFunk, DJ Dan, Barry Weaver, R.A.W., and Ron D. Core. I think my favourite might have been R.A.W., because in his set he did some serious scratching and cutting between songs. It was awesome. The crowd was going berserk! The sound system was out of this world. You could feel the bass deep within you. Everything was great. I hope the rave scene comes back for good! I sure have missed it! Even some Klub Kidz showed up in their costumes! It wasn't too terribly crowded, so you could move anywhere you needed to be, and the atmosphere was very chill. Everyone was just happy to be there for the scene and the music. P.L.U.R.
