About

Nik Wallenda’s Zirkus, a thrilling variety show starring celebrated wire walker Nik Wallenda and an international troupe of circus performers. Combining suspense, amazement and laughter, each show will close with a recreation of the death-defying seven person pyramid made famous by the Wallenda family. Nik Wallenda’s Zirkus will enthrall audiences June 29th- July 4th, 2016
“This show is like Cirque du Soleil meets Ringling Brothers meets Blue Man Group,” said Nik Wallenda, a seventh generation member of the legendary Wallenda family. Known worldwide for his incredible feats upon the high wire, Nik is the holder of 10 World Records. He was the first person to walk a wire across the Grand Canyon and is only person to walk directly over the precipice of Niagara Falls.
The Name
Zirkus is circus in German, a nod to Nik Wallenda’s heritage, which he can trace back to the 1780’s in Germany.
The Big Finale
At the close of each show, Nik and his troupe recreate the seven-person pyramid, a heart-pounding act made famous by Nik’grandfather, Karl Wallenda, in 1947. The pyramid involves seven people, all strung together on a wire high above the ground. At the pinnacle of the pyramid, one member of the troupe stands on a chair.
The Wallenda family successfully performed this awe-inspiring feat all over the world until 1962, when tragedy struck. One of the performers lost his balance, causing the pyramid to collapse, resulting in the loss of two family members and causing Nik’s great-uncle Mario Wallenda to become paralyzed from the waist down.

For nearly a generation, the Wallenda family ceased performing this feat, leaving it behind in
their storied legacy. However, in 1998 Nik was invited to return to Detroit to be a part of recreating the Pyramid for the first time since the fatal accident. Worldwide attention focused once again upon the Wallenda family as they proved to the world that they never give up. Since that year, the Wallendas are the only family in the world to perform this feat.

“The close of the show is what it’s all about. It’s a tribute to my family history,” Nik said. “We will literally be over the heads of the audience, without the use of any nets or safety devices whatsoever.”

had seat in 1st row was very close to stage, loved the different performers, especially the Duo Fusion and the Dieter guy with the chairs stacked doing a handstand. Would be fun for the whole family as audience and children got involved in the performance. really enjoyable show ending with the Seven Person Pyramid. The Wallendas and the other performers were available to meet for autographs as you left the theater. No photos to attach as they were prohibited inside.

    Loved Zirkus

by TheLastVen on 8/8/16Trump Taj Mahal - Xanadu Theater - Atlantic City

The show was great! Our seats were centered in the front row, they were actually too close. I would suggest not doing the reserved seating for that reason. Get there early for the warm up act and to pick your seats. The show was about 80 minutes and I loved all of it. No bells and whistles, just amazing talent. I think kids would love it too. I wish the Wallendas all the best.

    Absolutely amazing

We truly enjoyed this show from the entertainment between acts to the acts themselves. The ability of balancing oneself on a rope high above the ground is incredible, then to balance seven people on your shoulders while riding a bicycle just makes you hold your breath. The strength and flexibility that the performers show are unbelievable. Seeing Nik Wallenda himself was an honor too.

    Fantastic Wallendas

by SJJA on 7/23/16Trump Taj Mahal - Xanadu Theater - Atlantic City

Absolutely fantastic! Having seen all of Nik Wallenda's feats on television, Niagara Falls, Chicago, etc., we were very excited to see him perform up close. And we ended up front row center with some of the acts over our heads. The whole program was outstanding, not your typical circus fare. The 7-person pyramid at the end was unbelievable! More advertising is needed, so everyone will know about it.
