N.o.Y 10 year show.
by Hrgabrj2 on 12/14/15Bowery Ballroom - New YorkI was so stoked when I first bought my tickets to this show in August. This album is my favorite one by far. My boyfriend had introduced me to these guys after we got together and I thought this would be a perfect show to see, symbolically for us and the band celebrating ten years. We got there and the floor wasn't packed which was great, ordered a drink and waited for the opening act. I wasn't really too into the band opening, can't even remember their name, not for any reason other than I couldn't understand anything the lead singer was saying! He had a great voice and the band played spectacularly. They played for an hour, which is longer than I would have liked but I guess that's how most shows go, I was just antsy to see Nightmare of You! So they finish their set and leave the stage, and the gear switchover goes on for 20 minutes at least. Nightmare comes on finally and they aren't at all excited to be there, no energy, no animation. Like why play a show if you're not going to even pretend to be happy to be there. The crowd loved it, they were giving off so much energy, it was awesome to see other supporters of this band and show. It was just disheartening for the band, mainly Brandon, to just sing words and not interact with the crowd that have been longtime lovers of his band. I don't think there was much performing in this show, they did sound great and I was happy to be a part of it, I just wish they were just as excited as the rest of us there.
