NEW ORDER IN CONCERT:

As one of the most influential new wave bands of the '80s, New Order  brought electronic dance music to the forefront of mainstream consciousness, setting the tone for generations of music to come. EDM progenitors like "Blue Monday" and "Bizarre Love Triangle" sound as fresh today as they did 30 years ago, making the band a continued presence atop festival bills around the globe. Bernard Sumner and co. sounded as sharp as ever on tour in 2013, treating fans to an emotional Joy Division tribute during their encores and setting expectations sky high for their 2014 appearances.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed in the wake of legendary post-punk band Joy Division, New Order pressed on after  late-frontman Ian Curtis' suicide with a decidedly more optimistic sound than the group's Curtis-fronted incarnation. With former guitarist/keyboardist Bernard Sumner assuming vocal duties under the new moniker, New Order made their album debut in 1981 with Movement, breaking from the gravity of their previous work with buoyant tracks like "Dreams Never End." 1983 follow-up Power, Corruption & Lies really broke the mold, exploring a fusion of rock and early techno that brought them international fame and influenced much of the decade's ensuing music. Over nine studio albums, New Order have built one of the most beloved legacies in popular music, continuing to thrill awestruck fans both in the studio and on the road.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Bernard and company came with a lot of energy. Played lots of New Order faves and dug deep for some Joy Division chestnuts."

"Perfect show. They played all the hits and closed with a flawless three song Joy Division encore. They sounded great"

"New Order still has it!!! Saw them back in the 80's & this show was just as awesome!"

    Mo’ NO

by Jeff H on 11/20/23YouTube Theater - Inglewood

Great concert as expected! New Order and The Cure are easily my two favorite bands from the ‘80s and I had only seen NO live for the first time in 2012. I really wanted to see them at Darker Waves in Huntington Beach and then this indoor NO show opened up at YouTube theater (sound likely better indoors and smaller venue) so I grabbed this chance and took my 18-yr old son to experience one of my favorite bands. The show was fun, loud, and energetic. We didn’t have the best seats for sound position (section 207 right facing stage) but was still very good. NO rolled through their set of classics and some newer material. I still miss Peter Hook on bass but his replacement sounded great. NO has a deep catalog so wished the concert could have gone on a bot longer to hear more songs from the 2000s. Great to see them again!

Very pleased with Band and venue.

by Great Show at a great venue on 11/18/23YouTube Theater - Inglewood

I really enjoyed the show great music and light show with no lulls in the performance. They kept the show going in good fashion with out the nonsense of politics that has become so common place these days. The Venue was clean comfortable and the staff was friendly. Staff members at the exit thanked me for attending which was a pleasant surprise that I have never experienced at over 100 concerts I have attended. Good on you You Tube Theater

    New Order amazing

by Gerry on 11/18/23YouTube Theater - Inglewood

The venue doesn’t have a bad view. I sat in the 300 section and was pleased with the angle. New Order still rocks and the sound system sounded great! The set playlist was perfect with Joy Division songs for encore!! Awesome bonus! Loved NewOrder. PS come early for concert tees, as they ran out of size larges. The band still grooved like they were still 20 years old.

New Order You Tube theatre experience!

by Mike S on 11/18/23YouTube Theater - Inglewood

New Order is one of my favorite bands. The show was great in a very nice theater but, The monitor sound engineer was having trouble which can make or break a bands overall sound. The monitor engineer was not experienced or not in tune with the band. Also, the house main sound was off with the vocals and overall guitar sound. This made the experience off. I rate the sound experience 60 out of 100 The lighting, show performance and theater was a 96 out of 100 Disappointment with the sound.

new order great but plagued by the venue's bad sound.

by SpaceChris on 11/18/23YouTube Theater - Inglewood

New Order were great but the sound at the venue was awful. It was murky and too much bass, drowning out everything else. It got better as the show progressed. But still, I think ticket master should offer us partial refunds.

    Where's Hooky?

by Marc on 11/18/23YouTube Theater - Inglewood

They just aren't the same without Peter Hook. The venue was great but not great enough to pay $45 for parking and $19 for a beer.
