    Christmas In The Air!

by zmusique on 12/25/19McCoy Center - New Albany

Beautiful concert! Excellent musicians. The diversity of the music was delightful - orchestra, choir, soloists, quartet. The one area that could use assistance is parking. The main lot was full and there was no direction as to where to go.

    Wonderful music+chorus

by ASDmomX2 on 12/24/19McCoy Center - New Albany

The orchestra + chorus was really wonderful and sounded beautiful. The only thing I would say is that the director who came out to explain what sensory friendly meant, could have done a better job explaining what it means for people who have no idea. It seemed like there were a fair number of people who were there who were NOT there for the sensory friendly part. I say this because of all of the stares I got at my children just being themselves, along with a woman sitting next to us who said a rude comment. The venue certainly can’t control how other patrons treat each other, but maybe if they had a better explanation as to what they are getting into, it would help.

    Talented young performers

by Maria on 3/11/19McCoy Center - New Albany

This was a delight! The New Albany Ballet has such a talented group of young performers. I don't feel that I have a need to go to the Columbus Ballet when there is such a great local group to support. The symphony was wonderful as well. Its a shame the builders of the McCoy did not have the foresight to build a large enough pit to contain a full orchestra. Having sections on the side wings of the stage created an unbalanced sound for those of us sitting on the floor.

    Wonderful Collaboration in New Albany!

by SuMar72 on 10/10/18McCoy Center - New Albany

The New Albany Symphony Orchestra collaborated perfectly with the excellent Capital University choirs in their performance of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony!! The soloists, all Cap grads, harmonized attentively and respectfully. I’ve never heard a choir perform this piece with better diction.

    Wonderful Holiday Experience!

by MikeFTLA on 12/22/17McCoy Center - New Albany

I knew we would be in the Columbus area during the holidays and I came across the opportunity to get tickets for this performance and was so glad I did. We took my parents and we were all thoroughly delighted by such a great orchestra and singers. Musical selections were perfect and the venue was very nice. Will definitely make this an annual holiday tradition.

Power of the Sea could have been better if .......

by Riverfish on 5/3/17McCoy Center - New Albany

The first half of the performance was wonderful and it was great to hear familiar pieces. The second half was much to long and repetitive for the special water percussionists. However the orchestra should be commended for their difficult parts. First half gets AAA. Second half gets C. Sorry.
