The Promoters of the Morgan Heritage Live Reggae

by 100rb on 8/28/13Show Place Arena - Upper Marlboro

The show did not start until 5. It was supposed to start at 2. They did not advertise this show well so we could not figure out how they were going to pay Morgan Heritage to sing. Morgan Heritage finally came out around 7.40 p.m. Well actually they came out after one of their sons sang. So they sang 2 songs. Everyone was angry. We waited a long time to hear them. We knew that it was not their fault. They were professionally enough to come out because I am not sure if I would have. But Peetah did thanks us for coming and said that they would be back this fall on a tour. The seats were awful, hard cement floor...... The bottom line is that the promoters did not have enough money to pay them and they should have given us our money back!

Band late, only played 3 songs

by PeetahFan on 8/28/13Show Place Arena - Upper Marlboro

The show was suppose to be from 2 to 8pm. The Equipment showed up late, so they were still setting up the stage and wouldn't let anyone in the arena until about 3:30. They didn't start any of the live music until about 5:30, which didn't include any bands, just a few singers that sang along to karaoke music. First band didn't start until 6:30, and Morgan Heritage still hadn't arrived. Morgan Heritage finally started their show at 7:45pm, and the venue (Show Place Arena) flipped on the lights at 8pm and pulled the plug. Morgan Heritage played 3 of their best songs, which sounded awesome, but apologized for the short show and said they'd be back this fall. I had waited 10 years to have the chance to see this incredible band, but was let down because we really didn't get to see them. We paid $129 per ticket to sit in the "floor seating", which averaged out to be about $43 per song they played. Maybe we'll have better luck next time, because I'd still like to see the whole show.

5 hours of my life I will never get back!

by iDisappointed on 8/27/13Show Place Arena - Upper Marlboro

We got there at 3:00pm and the show didn't start until 5:00pm. Morgan Heritage didn't come on stage until 8:00pm and it ended at 8:10pm. Over all the WORST concert/show experience I've EVER had and I'm sad It had to associated with Morgan Heritage because I'm their biggest fan and was looking forward for this show for a long time. Overall, 5 hours of my life I will NEVER get back!!! :( The concession stand only accepted cash. :( My first time at this venue and most likely my last.

Morgan Heritage only performed for 15 mins.

by RacerX2050 on 8/27/13Show Place Arena - Upper Marlboro

Horrible production. Show time 2-8p we weren't let in until about 4:30p with no explanation. Show finally started around 5:30. 2 of the 4 local acts were pretty good but all sang excerpts of songs from cd tracks. After a 20 min intermission the main bands played. And finally after another intermission Morgan Heritage came out for only 15 minutes if that. There were less than 100 people in the audience. This was ludicrous. Refunds should be given.

    Dissatisfied

by Meyanko1 on 8/27/13Show Place Arena - Upper Marlboro

Well I like the Morgan Family and I will go to there next show if I knew the time and venue. The show in upper Marlboro is very dissapointing it was very disorganized cus it was suppose to start from 2-8 pm guess Morgan came on stage at 7.45pm and song only 4 tracks. That's a rip off Atleast should respect the people who leave their time and expense to attend the show. There was no courtesy and communications to the audience about what's going until we had good bye see you in the fall.
