    2024 HS State Championships

by Boardwalk Hall on 3/6/24Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

This is my 5th consecutive year attending and I have to say as far as the venue they did an excellent job! The food is still way overpriced but it is what it is. The employees were very friendly the security did their jobs without being overbearing like in the past. They finally changed the policy on having a Starbucks in the building and not allowing us to bring it in.

Great wrestling, great venue, adding the girls makes it too long, We would have stayed longer if not for that.

Fun time at boardwalk hall, however….

by JTomato on 3/7/23Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

All in all the event was great. Loved the State Police color guard during the national anthem! The live camera shots were disappointing. When the wrestlers were announced the camera was focused on the wrong wrestler or not at all. During the award’s sometimes they were shown on the screen and sometimes not. The event was a success nonetheless…. Bring the entire girls state wrestling tournament to AC! Just get the camera crew on the right page ;)

    Great but long

by Chris on 3/6/23Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

Great venue, staff, and the wrestling itself was great. But way way too long. Its a long tournament as it is, but adding the girls made it unbearable.

    Terrible

by Puffy on 3/5/23Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

Not being able to bring a camera / video . We were hoping that the newspaper cameramen would take pictures of all wrestlers but only took of a few. So the only pictures we have are blurred pictures and video from our cellphone because we were too far away. The food was overpriced and terrible. The only positive was that the bathroom was kept clean throughout the event.

    The Best

by Len J on 3/5/23Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

Watching the NJ High School State Wrestling Championships is the best. I just would like the final event to start around 1 or 2pm and not 4:30pm. It is long drive for some of us.

Great event, hot inside venue and why no cameras for family?

by CS on 3/5/23Boardwalk Hall - Atlantic City

Hello, This is a great event for the New Jersey high school wrestlers. However, it is extremely hot inside the venue. I was also not allowed to bring my camera into the venue to take photos of my family member and students. The security was quite aggressive and hostile towards me. Yet, the bag check was a joke. Anyone could have brought in a number of unapproved items based on the lack of attention given by the bag checkers to the bags that did NOT go through the metal detectors. NOT very secure. It just seemed like they were trying to eliminate illegal "outside" food, cameras and an occasional pocket knife.
