    Awesome

by Sadie on 6/28/23Barclays Center - Brooklyn

From start to finish, awesome experience! Didn't realize it would take so long between picks but still, once in a lifetime experience. Also, there should be more than one NBA store with three cashiers, long lines deter people from buying merchandise.

    Snooze Fest

by Cash on 6/25/23Barclays Center - Brooklyn

I will not be going back. The wait between rounds is boring and the in arena entertainment was 3rd rate. Much better to watch on TV

    1st time visit

    by t. on 6/23/19Barclays Center - Brooklyn

My 1st time ever visiting NY as an adult. And of course my 1st ever NBAD. Exciting to be there. I was a bit cautious of surroundings but the event was a great experience. The venue was good. While waiting in line the rain came down but fortunately the arena had a protracted roof to help shield the fans from getting wet. They could have done better organizing the entry line as single file broke down so it was a mob to get into security gate. The arena was nice, new, and welcoming. No access to the entire ramp but that was OK. Beverages were available everywhere and the lines were tolerable. My seat was good b/c no rows behind me. Expensive true but I didn't mind for my 1st time. The place was abuzz with all sorts of team fans. Fun to listen and watch the NYK and Nets fans. Zion of course was the main attraction but I was there specifically to see the Tar Heels get drafted. Bravo! Coby, shocked I mean shocked to hear Cam's name at #11!!, and shocked again Nassir Little dropped to #25. I went to the lower level to get a closer look and the fans were still energetic. I left before start of 2nd round. Anyway, I enjoyed the experience and the venue. The only way I'd go back is if UNC had another 3 or 4 potential draft picks. However my suggestion - like the NFL Draft - THE NBA needs to travel the NBA Draft. Send the draft around the country!

    Lost the magic of MSG

    by C. P. on 6/23/19Barclays Center - Brooklyn

I’ve been attending the draft since the days of standing in line for a limited number of $20 tickets to the Theater at MSG. The event has grown considerably but has lost all the magic of the experience. With internet sales and resellers, the lower level had completely empty rows while fans sat in the upper level with limited views. The addition of all the silly games takes away from what the event is. It’s cute and I’m sure makes the NBA a little money, but I miss hearing actual basketball commentary in an intimate setting.

    Boring.

    by J. E. on 6/23/19Barclays Center - Brooklyn

Very boring. Barclays is not a sports arena. Prefer MSG.

This was the best experience and they did a great job

by Nate on 6/23/19Barclays Center - Brooklyn

The NBA Draft was awesome and the atmosphere in the Barclays center was unbelievable. We could see everything from section 206 and I would recommend this event to everyone. We are Knicks fans and when they selected RJ Barrett, our whole section was cheering and It was crazy. It was fantastic to see other people wearing different jerseys and supporting the teams they root for.

    Long-Winded, No Activities, Over-priced

by Anonymous on 6/30/18Barclays Center - Brooklyn

The time allotted for each team's selection was tiresome and created a loss of interest after the 8th selection. 5 minute selection time for teams (wait time for audience) should be brought down to 1 minute. Also, there were no physical activities, therefore the ticket price didn't match the event. With this being the NBA draft, there could have been 3 point contests, free throw contests, dunk contests, half-court shot contests, dance contests, basketball trivia contests, photo opportunities with players and media personalities, meet and greets with draftees, and raffles for prizes and merchandise. Also, since it was held at the Barclays Center, the entire Brooklyn Nets could have been there for the fans. All of this feedback from the 15 year old student I took for a mentoring program.

    What do people expect

    by Warrior8600 on 5/5/18Barclays - Brooklyn

My son and I attended the 2017 NBA Draft at the Barclays. It was a great experience for both of us. The interaction with other fans present and our discussions about our teams was a great bonus to the experience. At the end of the first round we were asked to move because a lot of fans left after their team drafted in the first round. So when we moved we were near the Barclay production for the draft and beside NBA TV. We enjoyed it so much we are going back again this year.

    Watch on tv

    by Nic0703 on 6/26/16Barclays Center - Brooklyn

The event is slow and the commentary and entertainment between picks at the Barclays Center is beyond atrocious. I ignored other users' reviews that mentioned how bad the commentary and entertainment was but I completely understand now. We were Sec 209. Our seats were listed as "side view", they should have been "obstructed view" because you could barely see the front of the podium and the commissioner's bald head. 98% of the stage was blocked. It also felt like a morgue in there it was so damn cold. In the future I will it on tv and enjoy decent commentary. I'll give this another try if it's at MSG and the Knicks have first round picks.
