My son is a waiter - could I relate?

by momsadoc on 9/26/14Scherr Forum-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

This one man show was fast -paced, funny and poignant. Brad was personal and personable, sharing his life as a waiter, a comedian, a Jewish son, and a single man. I find many comedians not very funny, but he was excellent. My two 89 year old companions ( my father and his friend) and my non Jewish friend share in giving the show an amazing rating.

He was right on target...boy could we relate. It was like laughing at ourselves. If you missed it here, hope you'll catch it another time. FYI, actually rated 4-1/2 stars if I could.

    POINGNANT, FUNNY AND DELIGHTFULLY ORIGINAL!

by cbfandassoc on 9/21/14Scherr Forum-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

I thoroughly enjoy Jewish Humor (Catholic!) and this one-man show cracked me up! It amazes me that Zimmy wrote and developed it, then performed it on stage solo, without breaks and very few props. It is a testament to this man's incredible self-confidence, that although being a waiter for 25 years and having many setbacks, he never took his eyes off the prize of seeing his show in New York someday and now it is happening! Hooray Zimmy! He also never gave in or gave up which is my mantra! I got to meet him after the show and congratulated him on his fortitude and tenacity through all those going-nowhere years! What a guy and what a show! I admire his ability to laugh at himself and share his turmoil with the audience. I plan to follow him and hope to see him again! Thank you Zimmy for a very entertaining evening!

Brad is hilarious! So enjoyable to watch as he is so open about who he is and his life. A week later we are still laughing.
