Musicians From Marlboro Tickets

As always, this program in the Marlboro series presented some fine young musicians on the cusp of major careers. With a piano trio, duo piano, and singers, the program was a mix of styles and repertoire from standard classics to a quite new piece for piano duo. The pianists were fine as was the piano trio, but the most amusing parts of the evening were the song cycle duets the soprano and mezzo sang very well indeed. The two seemed to be enjoying their excellence. I look forward to hearing all of these musicians once again sometime in the near future

Excellent program (Haydn, Berg, Dvorak), fabulous musicians - this was, as usual, a lovely concert. The Freer auditorium is a perfect place to hear chamber music.
