We have been to many concerts at ISU and we would say that this was one of the best. It included vocal groups, orchestra and band elements. It really got us in the spirit of Christmas!! We drove over 100 miles to see it and will do it again next year! My only negative was the adult director who sang the solos, we believe it should have been the students and community members only.
I enjoyed it very much! I really would have liked it better if there were more solos performed by the students such as seniors who have attained a level of performance like the voice majors( rather than the professor of vocal music, I had already heard her at the other concert we attended- parts from Carmen the Operah) and even the trombone or trumpet section soloists, majoring in music. It would have given them more experience and given us a chance to see the kind of product ISU is putting out in the world. All in all it was very uplifting and put me in the Christmas spirit.
