I has a great time both nights. The downside was that Will Downing and Brian Culbertson were not able to perform because of weather. It would have been nice if Saturday's events began earlier to accommodate entertainment by the 2 cancelled acts. But overall I had a great time and plan to attend both days again.
The lineup was awesome. I will definitely return next year!!!
I enjoyed the festival, even though it rained both days. Friday night I was rained out, I really wanted to see Brian Culbertson and Will Downing so I was very disappointed because I was unable to see either of them. I spent the day in the park on Saturday and I enjoyed all of the acts, between rain drops. Boney James and Alex Bugnon were my personal favorites and I would like to see them again. My observations is that if they plan to have another festival next year, I hope they have better restrooms for everybody and not port-a-potties and improve on the food truck/vendors, more variety would be better. I think it should be required to post the price of your products in plain sight so that everyone can know the price of the food/beverages being sold. It wastes time if I have to ask how much does this or that costs. It appeared some were paying one price while others were paying another price from some (not all) of the vendors. I hope there will be more general admission tickets available next time and that I will be able to purchase on a per day basis in case there is a greater than 50% chance of rain in the forecast and I can make my ticket purchase appropriately. I hope there will be another festival next year!!
It was suppose to be the best Jazz line up that any city had for 2016. I was will to get the two day pass rain or shine. I felt with the thunderstorm, there should have been consideration of thunderstorm. The sponsors should have compensated us for not seeing the Friday night concert. After all the groups did not perform.
LOVED, LOVED the show! Even though it rained and was muddy, the entertainment was well worth it. The vendors had some awesome and delicious food. Loved the lineup!! The drive from St. Louis to Nashville was worth every bit of it
Venue at Woods Amphitheater was good, looking forward to entertaining jazz lineup of artists. Due to weather... not all artist performed, a bummer, spent a lot for tickets and did not get money's worth!
The venue is really nice not a bad view in the place. I was very upset though because the concert got rained out and the main artist I wanted to see was Will Downing and because of the storm I did not get to see him, so I feel like I wasted my money!
The lineup was great and the venue is really nice. I came from Richmond, Virginia. Unfortunately due to the weather I was unable to see Will Downing and Brian Culbertson on Friday, June 3. The only thing I saw that could be helpful is using more than one jumbo screen. The camera personnel were not capturing the movements on stage very well.
Line up was excellant, but leadership was poor and annoying. The time between sets was the worst we ever experienced. Directives for accomplishing that were either missing (no leader designated.) or unskilled in organization and delegation. The MC was terribly annoying ... Yelling is not equal to enthusiasm and repeated demand for more respose from us was very unpleasant ( "give it up, aw come on". disrespectful of us ... Applause is a response earned not a task about which to be be bullied. Her comments were all repeated several times ... She added very little to the experience, if she was filling time, she was unprepared with info that would have interested us (background on the artists, other festival opportunities in our region, etc.) Poor oreparation for inclement weather.
The show in my opinion was a huge success. The line up was fantastic. The mixture of artists offered a very good blend smooth and contemporary jazz.
