It has been a long time since I have seen a band take that much joy in performing... and give so much of it back to the audience.

by beetwick on 11/5/09Showbox at the Market - Seattle

good band. they're new stuff is meant to be played live. the same energy just doesn't work on the album. they need a water fountain at the showbox.

    Well, that was different

by PersonGuy on 11/4/09Showbox at the Market - Seattle

One of the best concerts I've seen! Mum plays so many instruments and has so much range that it was less like they were playing different songs and more like they we transporting the audience to different universes that had slightly different version of their band. In this universe they're a country band... in this one they're a goth band... in this one a disco band... etc. The crowd was a little dead, but I guess nobody knows what to do at this sort of concert (other than be in complete awe)... maybe they need to play at something more auditorium style. I would have liked to hear more from Summer Make Good, but being introduced to their newer stuff was great too.

literally. go see them for yourself. my brain nearly exploded trying to follow what each of the 7 members were doing to create such wonderful, complex, and original music. :)

    Relaxing

by Borsaw on 11/3/09The Venue - Vancouver

Some musical talent, many strange noises that somehow work to make a beautiful melody. They took ages to go on stage but was worth it in the long run. Might see them again but price dictates that. The lead singer girl was the happiest person I have ever seen, either that or she has something I don't. Cheers
