    Let them in

by Ohiopyle listener on 10/19/23Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - Morgantown

The show was great, hey it’s Mountain Stage Live, and those shows are always very interesting and professional. Here’s my only comment. Let’s fill the place up. I was happy to $40+ to see the show from upfront, no problem with that cost for such a great seat. But when you to Morgantown and the CAC there’s so many seats that left emty, every time Mountain Stage is here. How about a section in the back of this great hall for general admission? No advice tickets just show up with a $10 bill in hand and get a seat. Lots of people would love to come to these awesome shows, but $10 is all they can afford, and why waste so many empty seats??

    A fun show

by BobR on 10/19/23Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - Morgantown

MS is supposed to be a fun time and this show was exactly that. Ms. Mattea enjoyed being the ringleader. I wish she would have had one more song, but I'll probably always say that. Once we got past the pretentious puppeteer from Vermont the mood lightened and we got down to the business at hand (fun). Bob Thompson gave his usual virtuoso performance. I hope he never quits performing. The other acts were solid musically, and were good enough to have more time, but that's MS. You just get a taste of each. The finale was its usual disorganized number MS has become famous for. I almost forgot to mention Julie Adams, also someone who deserves more time. But then the show would become three hours, instead of 2 1/2 and my bladder couldn't handle that.

Great Welcome Back to Mo'town Performance

by RIDU on 3/30/22Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - Morgantown

The show was perfect in most aspects. The lineup was great Kathy Mattea is an excellent host and it was great to see them back in Morgantown and many of the original members of the stage band still with them. At several points the performers were given standing ovations. I must say in my opinion this is live radio at its best. The only negative what's the number of people who chose not to wear masks in a closed environment with several hundred people.

    Great Weekend Getaway

by EB on 5/1/19Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - Morgantown

Traveled from Lexington, KY, to Morgantown, West Virginia, to attend a live performance of Mountain Stage. They have live performances on Sunday Nights in either Morgantown (at West Virginia University) or Charleston. The music is always great and a lot of times I hear groups that I have not heard before. In My only complaint is that the sound could be a little better because at times it is difficult to understand the lyrics of songs over the music.

    Amazing venue and performance

by Mudslugger on 1/23/19Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - Morgantown

Everything from the arrival to the final encore went perfect. Sound quality in the auditorium was amazing and the acts were all wonderful. Can't wait to visit the venue again and experience more of the talent they schedule.

    Night of amazing music

by lcampbe6 on 1/23/19Lyell B Clay Concert Theatre - Morgantown

I have never been to a Mountain Stage show. I went for Gregory Alan Isakov (my favorite musician). I left with 3 new favorite bands (Mandolin Orange, The Brother Brothers, and Hush Kids). The only one I wasn’t impressed with was Elysian Fields. They seemed very out-of-place amongst the other artists. It was nice of Mountain Stage to include them, but they weren’t personally my cup of tea. That aside, it was a wonderful night and I would love to see another show!
