Mountain Heart best show in town

by ParetoHead1 on 8/14/11Cain Park - Cleveland Heights

Top quality musicians having a whole lot of fun. The place was 1/3 full...Should have been packed. The band members did not seem to mind. They are totally capable of picking traditional Bluegrass but they push the boundaries. I arrived a few minutes late to hear Whipping Post. Even a traditional Bluegrass number extended into jazz infused jams. Next time they come to Cleveland we need to pack the place. Tell everyone.

    WOW

by BanjoPlunker on 8/13/11Cain Park - Cleveland Heights

What a shame so many people assign a stereotype to a genre of truest of American music. Mountain Heart is one of the most talented group of talented musicians on the rise in the country. Their performance was just incredible. They "Rocked" the place !! I make it a point to see them EVERY time they come around. Forget what you may think of "Bluegrass" music and go see this group. You won't be sorry, in fact you will be AMAZED...

    First Mountain Heart Concert

by banjofan101 on 8/13/11Cain Park - Cleveland Heights

On the recommendation of my son, who likes bluegrass, my husband and I attended the Cain Park concert in Cleveland Hts, OH. Mountain Heart has two new fans. We enjoyed the entire evening as not only is the lead singer fantastic the music had us tapping and clapping all evening long. These are truly accomplished musicians. Their music is not just bluegrass, but includes a touches of blues and jazz. Go see them!

    AMAZING

    by musiclady2000 on 8/11/11Fraze Pavilion - Kettering

This is one of my favorite groups. They are ALL OUTSTANDING individual musicians and absolutely incredible when together. Their harmonies when they sing are tight and consistent. They looked like THEY were having a blast playing for us. Thank you for an incredible night. We hated that it ended, but have CD's to hold us over until the next time!! A MUST SEE CONCERT!!!

    Greater than I thought

by PLayneS on 1/9/11The Ark - Ann Arbor

My first time to see Mountain Heart Live. They are fantastic! I have all of their CD's and listen to them a lot. However, there is nothing like seeing them live. Besides being great musicians they can also sing and they have fun personalities.

Sold-out show at The Ark 1/7/11: Mountain Heart

by nerf37 on 1/9/11The Ark - Ann Arbor

I had seen Mountain Heart before, a couple of years ago, I think at the Ann Arbor Folk Festival. They impressed me so much then that I made a note to see them again when I could. I missed their previous performance at the Ark, however. What an energetic, talented and versatile group they are! It's a rare privilege to see and hear young musicians who are probably in their prime years of stamina, creativity and virtuosity. They obviously enjoyed working together and they easily conveyed that joy to the sold-out house. We all had a marvelous time and they let everybody know how grateful they were they we were such a warm audience and how pleasant and intimate the venue was.
