About

Whether selling out headline dates at clubs or venues as diverse as the Tate Modern, Barbican, & MomaPS1, not to mention playing premiere festival slots such as Primavera, Coachella, Pitchfork Chicago & Paris, Glastonbury, MELT, Club II Club to name a few, Mount Kimbie has played a pivotal role in the evolution of cutting-edge contemporary British music, cultivating an extensive and die-hard global fan base. Not just content to rest on the laurels of their collective output, both Kai & Dom's rich sonic tapestry and compulsion to innovate have led to highly impressive solo careers as well with Kai helming a Radio1 Essential Mix alongside, selling out headline dates at Printworks, Fabric & Blitz and releasing the City Planning LP alongside an installation by Tom Shannon & long-term Mount Kimbie collaborator Frank Lebon. Meanwhile, Dom's Grammy-nominated production work has graced releases from Travis Scott, SZA, Metro Boomin', Dave, and James Blake among others, and released Die Cuts alongside an accompanying film by Tyrone Lebon.

    Great gig

    by Fruitman50 on 10/10/13The Sinclair - Cambridge

Really love Mount Kimbie went to see them in Sinclar before and they were equally as good this time. However the real kicker for me was the quality of the support acts D33J had a really good stage presence and nice beats. Then the next warm -up act was Jonwayne I have never heard of him before this gig and I assumed he would have an electronic disposition and he did however after a quite start on the midi controller he burst into MC'n his own looped beats and he blew me away. To notch gig!

    Mount Kimbie was rad

by Chuckgasm on 6/4/13The Sinclair - Cambridge

Never been to the Sinclair before, I enjoyed the venue. The sound quality was decent from the upstairs tables. Would go again. Mount Kimbie played a good mix of songs from both Cold Spring Fault Less Youth and Crooks and Lovers. Vinyl Williams needs to put a dB limiter between their amp and the mixer, but other than that they played a good set. Holy Other put on a great set and was rocking out. Given the chance I would see any of these bands again.

A revolution for live electronic. Kai and Dom seamlessly switch instrument and never miss a beat while providing straight club bangers for all.
