Lucky Moon Zooz

Moon Hooch began busking in the subway platforms of NYC in 2010, quickly getting noticed by the NYPD, who had to ban them from locations that couldn't handle the crowds. In a few short years they were opening for the likes of Beats Antique, They Might Be Giants, and Lotus, while selling out their own headline shows at marquee venues around the United States and Europe. Their unconventional sound and techniques, utilizing found objects like traffic cones, landed them appearances on NPR's Tiny Desk in America, "Later...with Jools Holland" in the UK, "Hamish & Andy's Gap Year" in Australia, and private audiences with the Premier League's Chelsea F.C. They are currently touring the world.

The 3 groups played so amazingly well! The power and energy were at 100% for the show, so many saxophones and brass instruments. Well worth seeing Moon Hooch, Too Many Zoos, and Lucky Chops any time. As for the HMAC, this is a nice venue. Not too big, not too small. Sound quality is pretty good here. Location in the city is good, there's street parking and some lots nearby. They have 3 bars upstairs and a lounge and bar in the lower area. I will come here again. For this show specifically, it started a lot earlier than most, and it did actually start on time! Yay, we were able to take it in and get home at a reasonable hour (on a work-night).
From start to finish, this might be my favorite concert ever. There wasn't anything i didn't like except maybe getting kicked in the back of the head by a crowd surfer but even that was cool.
Medusa’s Disco were amazing. Watch out for this band! Moon Hooch was good. Show became a little monotonous in my opinion.
Fantastic energy from start to finish. Ideal acoustics for their sound. Way heavier than you'd expect, but in a good way. I also really appreciate their commitment to supporting ecological causes and I was happy to see that included in their show, by way of having a raffle for a tree to plant.
I've been listening to MoonHooch since 2011/12 and it only gets better as the following gets larger. Do not miss out on some of the best live music of your life!
Moon Hooch was amazing to watch live. They never stopped playing from the time they hit the stage until the show was over and hour and a half later. They were great to meet after the show and happy to take the tine to talk. Can’t wait to see them again.
You need to see these guys live to really appreciate how special what they do is. It's like a huge dance party with all live musicians playing dance music with saxophones. The drummer is unbelievable. Just go.You'll see something you've never seen before.
I had high expectations for my first concert with Moon Hooch, and they blew me away! Ridiculously good energy and their musicality is top notch.
Moon hooch was the absolute best experience of my life. I will see them again...one day.
