It was Monte’s birthday but all of us there were the ones that received his great gift! Wonderful night with great performances by James Speer, Monte and his band. Happy Birthday to Monte and thank you for all for a great evening of fantastic music!

There's no doubt Monte Montgomery ranks as one of the best singer songwriters ever. Then to top it off he is a virtuoso on the guitar. It was just outstanding.
Monte Montgomery and his band were amazing to watch and fantastic to hear!!! I bought a cd and spoke with the drummer after the show. I only heard about these guys two months ago, They are made of music.
Monte Montgomery is the best kept secret touring today. If you get a chance to see him...DO IT!!!! His guitar playing skillls are astounding. I give him six stars!!!!!!!!
Knowing where to start with any comment on a performance by Monte Montgomery and his band is difficult at best. Perhaps the overall rating of "amazing" says it all. Monte Montgomery is overwhelmingly good. The venue was great as was the sound system at the Ark. Mr.Montgomery was charming, humorous and engaging with the audience without too much talk. He took requests and I must say that in over 40 years of concert going I have rarely been as entertained. My only regret is that Monty Montgomery and his band aren't playing a second show tonight. I'd take my friends!
Great show in an intimate setting. The show was much too short due to another band having a show upstairs. Monte did a meet and greet after the show, signing posters and cds.Looking forward to his return to our area this summer.
Monte Montgomery is fantastic.... nothing more to be said about it. He played exquisitely. The Dire Straits "Romeo and Juliet" was so moving... I just wanted more. Next time he'll play "Forget Your Name".. he promised! But I've gotta say, the venue sucked. Only one hour? and then put out by a noisy band upstairs?? wtf?
Monte's vocal and song writing skills aside from his virtuoso guitar playing make him easily the most interesting acts not on a major label today. Everyone should see him live whenever possible!
In my book, Monte is in the top 10 guitar players of all time. He's got the whole package: stunning licks, great lyrics, stage presence, humbleness, and total ownership/mastery/domination of the fretboard. He's no one-trick pony. People may focus a lot on his harmonics but he's sooo much more than that. This was my first time seeing him. It won't be my last.
