    What an amazing show!

by Swrdpla on 10/30/18Baltimore Soundstage - Baltimore

Opening acts were excellent. Electric Citizen had the seventies psychedelic vibe that complemented Monster Magnet's sound. Monster Magnet came out and blew the venue away. They played non-stop for an hour, no breaks, no stopping the music, no chatter, just hard rocking. The on stage energy was infectious. The onslaught ended with an extended version of "Space Lord" with audience participation. Followed that up with nearly a twenty minute encore. So glad Monster Magnet decided to play a run of dates in the U.S. They rarely tour here any more as the music scene in America isn't nearly as lucrative as the European market. I totally understand that decision but it is unfortunate for us as their show is a symbol of what rock and roll should be. I don't know of any bands currently putting on a show with the ferocity that was on display at this event. Other bands need to take notice. I have been to a lot of shows this year and I can say without question this has been the best so far. Monster Magnet has set the bar for the live experience very high and it will be difficult for many to reach. If you get a chance to catch them on this tour do not pass it up!

    Better than ever

by motozappa on 10/30/18Gramercy Theatre - New York

Monster magnet is the greatest that I’ve ever seen them. Their sound was incredible. The band has aged like a fine wine and are a true force to be reckoned with.

    Still Hard Rocking

by Cultfreak87 on 10/30/18Gramercy Theatre - New York

Monster Magnet still putting on a great show. Dave has a ton of energy and it’s obvious he is giving it his all. Even though his NYC venue was small at Gramercy Theater, he did not discount or hold back and treat this show as a filler spot on their tour. My only complaint was three opening bands one too many in my opinion seemingly causing MM to only play 12 or so songs. I miss Ed Mundell on lead guitar but the whole band is top notch and really exciting to watch live.

    Monster Magnet blew me away

by Arizen on 10/29/18Baltimore Soundstage - Baltimore

Have loved this band since the early 90s and this was my first opportunity to see them live. They delivered the goods and then some. They sounded great live, as good or better than listening to a record. The crowd wasn’t huge so I was pretty close to the stage which felt like I was personally there with the band. It was amazing and I would definitely see them again. Also, it wasn’t an expensive show, and they had three supporting acts opening which were all decent. I was even able to meet the singer of one of those bands and chat with him for a few minutes. Great show.

Awesome show, Monster Magnet a true rock legend

    by Jdub2099 on 10/26/18The Masquerade - Atlanta

This was definitely a memorable show however the acoustics/sound equipment of the masquerade made it very hard to hear the singer. It was great to hear Monster Magnet and electric citizen live but it was almost impossible to make out some of the lyrics and singing. They should probably look into this. I've been to two other shows at the Masquerade since they've redone the heaven venue and the sound was good. In this instance the sound that was not good quality like in other shows.

    Great show, less weed

by MMFanSince91 on 11/30/13House of Blues Sunset Strip - West Hollywood

Great show, good sound mixing at HOB. Dave sounded great, band is super unconsciously tight. Played 4 songs from powertrip, still just as powerful. The newer stuff is just ok. I think the new direction is causing the band to play too intensely over the lyrics of the songs, especially the verses. It is hard to appreciate the insane poetry of his lyrics with the band playing 100% while he is singing. 90 min set including encore. Also appreciate that since the crowd is aging, there is a lot less weed in the air during the show.
