    more Momix

by yEntertainment on 12/2/15Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

First time seeing this company. Great show. Take a little Philobolus (ballet), mix in some Mummenschanz, add a dash of Cirque de Soleil stir with modern lighting and stagecraft and you've got this refreshing show that keeps the audience riveted as the performers flawlessly move from one piece to another without stopping. Joyous performance. Also great to introduce kids to performance art.

The greatest show i've ever seen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by Carlsreview on 12/1/15Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

The dancing, props, and without a doubt soundtrack made this show the one I will NEVER forget even after I'm dead. I would have paid 10times the cost of admission to see this again. I'm praying it comes back to South Florida again next year. To everyone I say this. DON'T MISS IT!!!!!! The dancers received 4 standing ovations. They deserved twice that!

    Super creative group

by Anonymous on 11/30/15Amaturo Theater at Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

Enjoyed the performance very much. Appreciate the choreography, lighting design, images and music/song choices, but the most touching part is the creativity. The performers made magic in that evening. Highly recommend.

    Momix: Botanica was truly AMAZING

by AnAvidFan13907 on 9/30/13Music Hall Center - Detroit

From the very start of the performance you are drawn into the beauty of the selectfull combination of dance and nature. The music set the mood, and the dancers performed exquisitely. Recommend sitting in elevated seats to get full appreciation of the costumes.

    Well that was something

by Sharv2312 on 4/11/13Des Moines Performing Arts - Civic Center - Des Moines

First off, I want to say that while I almost always enjoy theater and some dancing, I have never really been into..."artistic expression." By that I mean things that seemingly make no sense to anyone but the artist and people who think they know what the artist was trying to express through his/her work. Botanica was nothing short of interesting. Parts of it were mesmerizing, but most of it was weird and didn't make sense (lady riding triceratops skeleton which then attacked her while semi-naked man was lying on ground leaning against rock for no apparent reason). Now I can most definitely respect the work that the dancers put into the performance, as there were only 10 (I believe) dancers performing the entire time, and a lot of what they did required a lot of effort, but I wasn't very impressed with the choreography. My wife and I both felt like every scene was a big build up to something that never happened, and then the scene would switch. Overall, unless you're pretty artistic, at least look up some videos of this first or something to see if it's you're thing.
