MITSKI IN CONCERT:
Songwriter, musician and performer Mitski has released five full-length albums. The most recent of which, 2018’s Be The Cowboy, was named Album of the Year by the likes of Pitchfork, Vulture, Consequence, ESQUIRE, and FLOOD, and the #2 Album of 2018 by The New York Times (Jon Pareles), NPR Musicand SPIN. It launched Mitski from cult favorite to indie star, landing her an extensive profile in The New Yorker and performances on Austin City Limits and Jimmy Kimmel Live! (she played The Late Show with Stephen Colbert following the release of 2016’s Puberty 2). After being off the road since September 2019, Mitski makes a daring return with new single/video “Working For The Knife,” which signifies a new intensity we haven’t yet seen from her yet. She’ll tour in 2022, playing theaters throughout the country, including Radio City Music Hall in New York, Shrine Exposition Hall in LA, Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, and more.
The concert was even better than I thought it would be! I loved the venue, and I especially loved my seats. :)
It was beautiful. The whole show flowed so smoothly and conveyed so much emotion.
It was so good i cried and laughed sm ugh i love mitski
Absolute best most amazing experience ever. The vocals, the choreography, the set list PERFECT.
I appreciate her talent, but the total show was a bit underwhelming. The band was very good and should have been featured more prominently. I liked that she switched up time signatures, but her self-indulgent dance moves wore thin. The important thig is that most of the audience seemed to enjoy the show.
It was very warm inside and the seats were not very comfortable. I was feeling tired (from heat) and fidgety about half way through so it was hard to even focus. Also, not knowing all of the lyrics ahead of time, it was very hard to understand the vocals especially for the opener. Seemed to be an issue between the instrument and vocals volume. The actual performance was good, the acoustics was good, music sounded great. But, as I said I could not understand the vocals very well.
I loved the mitski performance it was absolutely beautiful. I posted about it on my tik tok and everything was just amazing and lovely.
I attended the Mitski show at the Auditorium theater in Chicago. She was awesome. She moved, danced and entertained while still singing. Her voice is magical and it seemed she really connected with people.
This was my first time seeing Mitski in my life. I’ve been a fan of hers since quarantine started. And ever since she’s been my most favorite artist. I LOVED it so much it was so beautiful. If you think her voice is already beautiful then just wait until you see her live. I almost cried when she sang love me more. It was so much fun and the amount of emotions I had from sad, happy, to even feeling a bit silly. Before Mitski announced she was touring and coming to Chicago I didn’t really know who Julia Jacklin was but she was so amazing as well!! If you love Mitski then you will love Julia. If Mitski ever comes to Chicago again then I will make sure to come again! I loved this experience so much.
She was amazing, sounded incredible, so respectful. A true performer 🤞🏻
