A couple older bands that really know how to deliver. We had a great time at a great venue.
Mitch Ryder may be getting older, but he still puts on a great show. This one was particularly sweet since he was back in his hometown and many of his high school friends were there. His interaction with them was funny and entertaining. But, back to the music. Mitch did most of the favorites and a couple of lesser-known songs. His standout rendition of Jimmy Cliff’s “Many Rivers to Cross” was especially heartfelt and moving. Of course, everyone enjoyed “Devil With the Blue Dress On,” which ended the show. While his band, The Detroit Wheels, has changed over time, but this configuration has been with him for several years and they’re excellent. These guys are obviously very talented musicians and they kept the show rolling along. This was our first trip to Andiamo for a show, but I highly recommend it. It’s a very nice atmosphere and the food in the showroom was very good, although the menu was limited and geared toward sharing between a group of people. All in all, Mitch put on a great show and the venue was very nice. I highly recommend both!
Very good show - not really a rock and roll venue. More like some Sinatra-vegas kind of place. Mitch - come back to Michigan and play somewhere where we can dance and shout.
great show, did his hits, talked about playing with some legendary musicians and had some great musicians in his band. the drummer from Uncle Kracker was very good, but his solo did go too long. Only complaint is the show was too short.
Sure he's an more mature guy, but his voice is young. Much better than I expected. A solid band. A very personable performer. I'd see him again.
