Once you get over the offensive premise...

If you're not easily offended and know that what you're about to see is politically incorrect, irreverent and way too much fun, you'll have a wonderful time! The show is full of wit, charm and just plain fun. There are lots of opportunities for a good belly laugh, but I actually found myself close to tears at one point. I know, no one was more surprised than myself, but the show is great. The acting is consistently fabulous from beginning to end, and the energy sweeps the audience along. Don't miss this one! I'm still digesting everything I saw, and still chuckling to myself!
I read the review and decided not to attend. My friend felt the play would be too ofensive and was concerned if this was the new trend for future plays at the Intiman. The next eries will determine if we continue our subscriptions.
I enjoyed the show and would see another one by Dan Savage.
Absolutely hilarious, not a dull moment. Thoughtfully executed - a must see.
Wonderful acting, costumes, and script. But, I have to admit, I couldn't believe I was hearing such lines in public. Be ready to be shocked and have fun.
AWESOME! It was entertaining and campy. Great recipe for a wonderful night out.
Best of the series at the Intiman this summer. In the right frame of mind, this play may poke your funny bone at just about everything from religion to disability. Recommended for those with an open sense of humor.
Enjoyed it so much I went twice..Actors were awesome!
The play Miracle! by famed gay rights advocate Dan Savage was GAAAYY-TASTIC! I won't get too much into the plot as I'm not really a play reviewer but let's just say it's a rauchy offensive take on Helen Keller's story although Helen Keller becomes Helen Stellar who is a deaf and blind drag queen...the bonus to this play is not only is it a play with both its cringeworthy politically incorrect moments and heartwarming ending, but it's also a drag queen show and lesbian open mic night combined! I felt like I was already out and partying in Capitol Hill! It was a breath of fresh air seeing a play that I guess pushed the borders but then again in the gayborhood, it takes ALOOOT to find something offensive. Thanks Dan Savage...your twisted mind will make me never see a barstool the same ever again and if I ever see a blind and deaf person, giiirrrrlll I'm just gonna give her/him some lipstick!
