Fast-rising dubstep DJ and producer Minnesota keeps bass heads dancing late into the night on his beat-heavy live tours. His cutting-edge brand of hip hop-influenced dubstep is full of all the buildups and breakdowns the genre is known for, but with an added melodic flair that takes his tracks to the next jaw-dropping level. At his live shows Minnesota treats fans to an all-out feast for the senses that includes on-stage structural canvases, 3D projection mapping, and -- of course -- a custom state of the art sound system that fans must experience at least once. Whether he's getting adrenaline pumping with original tracks like "Voyager" or chopping and screwing classics like The Mamas & The papas' "California Dreamin'", Minnesota always leaves ticket buyers feeling euphoric on his must-see tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Minnesota-born, California-based dubstep producer Minnesota, aka Christian Bauhofer, began playing music at age 12, but it wasn't until he attended Symbiosis Gathering in 2009 that his love of EDM became clear. He loaded musical software Ableton on his computer and began producing hip hop remixes, and soon he was bringing the house down at parties with his futuristic sound and high-octane sets. In 2011 he dropped his debut album Panda Snatching Tycoon, an auspicious first effort that hinted at big things to come. The Ancient Machines EP followed a few months later, burning up the glitch-hop charts on Beatport and leading to a string of performances around the country. Since then he's headlined two tours, performed at numerous festivals, and released several more albums to critical acclaim. In 2014 he released the Voyager EP, his most polished and ambitious effort to date, building anticipation for his 2014 Wind Machine Tour.
