They should have adjusted the agenda in order to squeeze in the Thunderbirds. The rain started hours after the forecasted time for rain, so they could have fit them in. Disappointing.
Every one of the artists that flew last Sunday were superb! The Thunderbirds of course we the tops of the show and makes me very proud to be from the USA. The B2 fly by was a wonderful and unexpected surprise ... along with the pyrotechnics for the fly byes and the stunt plane .... jet truck race! ASESOME. Only one suggestion - have some signs around telling people where their spaces are and where to go so we, like others, don't spend time walking around looking for our seats.... past that everyone did a super job... what a BLAST!

Stunts are really spectacular and the Commanders Chalet was the best spot to watch them all! I only gave 4 stars because it the following: 1. Unlimited Food advertised was not really unlimited. Food was put away 2 hours before the scheduled end of the show. Food is just so-so. 2. Ground display or exhibits are not as good as Duluth’s airshow.
Very well organized. Easy to get to, get in the venue and out when over. The air displays were interesting. Loved the Thunderbirds and Stealth plane. Food a little expensive but not too far over what is usual at these types of shows. Volunteers were helpful.
I'm a father of 5, vet and stay at home Dad now. I wanted to have my children see their first airshow ever and experience what I did 8 yrs in service. A great week camping and enjoyed the town of Mankota. The show was spectacular, vendors were great and being a student pilot I appreciated all the aviation aircrafts in the event. Of course, when it was time for the T-birds to rise the weather grounded them and that's the sad part. They honored our tickets the next day however it was the day we had to depart and we couldn't stay. Maybe next time, but having my oldest leaving next year (who loved the show the most) it was something memorable I wish I could've shared with him. That's why the 4 stars, sorry and Thank you!
I just loved the show! My mouth was probably open in awe the entire time! Gives me goosebumps thinking about it. Can't wait till the next one!
Had a wonderful day at the MN Air Spectacular. Lots of seating and different ticket prices for better seating areas. Great food. Well organized. Thunder Birds didnt disappoint!
I went to the show both days since the Thunderbirds were cancelled due to weather on Saturday. Sunday was great. The one thing missing from the airshow were interactive activities on the ground. The last airshow had planes you could actually go inside and tour. I arrived early on Saturday, 9:00 AM and there was really nothing to do but look at a few planes. The military representation had interactive things to do, like a climbing wall, but otherwise there was not many free things to do.
I highly recommend the Air Spectacular. It was a fun filled day for our whole family. The demonstrations varied from airplane tricks, to jet trucks, to fighter jets, and para jumpers. We love the airshow and will always buy tickets when Mankato hosts.
