    Maxi Raspberry for Mini Kiss

by Dirques on 2/21/14Uptown Theater - Kansas City

Mini Kiss was an abject disappointment for finger synching their instruments. I think they tried live vocals but they weren't playing their guitars. Karaoke. As a friend next to me screamed out, "You're a disgrace!" I first became suspicious of Little Ace when I heard guitar parts while his right hand was otherwise detained. Resting or throwing up novelty magic shop flash papers. Original Ace played the Gibson Les Pauls. Little Ace was bound by no such brand authenticity as he flailed on a little quasi-Strat, probably one of those junior Squire knockoffs Guitar Center peddles for $100. Little Ace didn't plug in his hatchet until a song or two in the set. Since he was faking, it wasn't pressing. They inexplicably covered Guns and Roses with Little Gene in top hat playing the role of Little Slash. Seemingly playing lead guitar on a bass. Another poser. Little Peter was whacking at his drum kit but he wasn't playing either. I think the Little Paul I saw on the internet was playing Little Ace last night. Interchangeable actors. Even at the low low ticket price of $10, I had buyer's remorse. Although the pyrotechnics were extremely modest, it was close enough to fire in a theater for many of the patrons to proceed to the nearest exit. Opening act covering classic rock #I think they were called Ace 30# had an outstanding guitarist who did a creditable Eddie Van Halen. They must've been mortified opening for a lesser talent like Mini Kiss. Then after most people had left including Mini Kiss, a pair covering the Blues Bros. took the stage. Just a pair of guys dressed as Jake and Elwood with no pretense of a backing band other than a recorded track. They weren't great but seemed great following Mini Kiss.

Very memorable show, not in a good way.

by KHIP on 2/18/14Uptown Theater - Kansas City

This is literally the worst show I've ever been to. Costumes- terrible Singing- awful Makeup-worse The lead singer was chewing gum the entire time and they had some weird DJ/ promoter talking over the lead singer everytime in betweeen songs. You couldn't understand either one of them. I've never seen a band ask the crowd to cheer for them so much. Embarrasing.

    Awful! Awful! Awful!

by ZKCMO on 2/18/14Uptown Theater - Kansas City

Mini Kiss was awful. They sang.... But obviously did not play their instruments. The set was disorganized and a mess. Did not expect them to be great.... But they were awful! The opening band from Kansas City ran circles around the "headliner". Awful!

    Not worth the money

by SStacey on 2/18/14Uptown Theater - Kansas City

The main act Mini Kiss was a joke. They weren't even playing instruments. We left after 2 songs. It was a cheap ticket and we got what we paid for.
