    Hyphenated MAN

by antiaircraftwarning on 10/19/12Brighton Music Hall - Boston

Brilliant flawless performance of the 3rd opera. The Missingmen are so well ingrained with this material, just amazing. Plus the uber-Minutemen suite in the encore was fantastic. Watt is a legend.

    3 great bands

by chazfab on 10/12/12The Basement - Columbus

well, i hesitated with 5 stars only because it wasn't just mike watt that made this nite great. the evening of music was 5 stars, but i say that because people should seek out the 2 amazing opening acts if they can as well. local columbus band Harboring Ghosts were just mesmerizing. 4AD meets jeff buckley. truly great. 2nd band..LITE.. from japan. fantastic. i kept telling my comrades...punk King Crimson. completely entrancing. mike watt was great, though i'd of added a bit more variety to the setlist, but he was great, as was the whole nite. check these 3 bands out whenever you can.

    Mike Watt was awesome

by SweetZombieJesus on 4/18/11Duck Room at Blueberry Hill - St Louis

Duck Room is pretty cool if you get there early and snag a table. Mike Watt was awesome. The show was only $12. Nothing to complain about.

    Watt Jams Econo

by johnp0404 on 4/12/11Mercury Lounge - New York

Mike Watt remains true to his punk rock roots with this power trio, The Missingmen. They are tight, intense, powerful. Watt's new material, the Hyphenated Man, puts 30 songs into 60 minutes. Live, these tunes took up a bit more space and the musicianship of the trio really shined. The encore at the Mercury Lounge, a barrage of songs from Double Nickels on the Dime, was amazing.

A legend. The balls to play his brilliant new album straight through, the courage to encore with a few Minutemen songs. Couldn't ask for anything more from the man. And the Missingmen are great!
