About

MIKE EPPS ON TOUR:

Actor and comedian Mike Epps has been bringing tears of hilarity to peoples' eyes ever since joining the Def Comedy Jam tour in 1995. Known for his hilarious impersonations of stoner life in films like How High and Next Friday, Epps adds pop culture and current events to his list of targets during his side-splitting stand-up act.  Fresh off a spate of hat-tipping live concerts shows in 2013, Epps is set for another banner year, embarking on the worldwide After Dark Tour in 2014.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Epps' knack for comedy was encouraged by his parents, leading to stand-up gigs as a teenager and a job at the Comedy Act Theater in Atlanta. His break came in 1995 when he appeared on the Def Comedy Jam, going on tour and appearing on HBO's broadcasts of the performances. Beginning with his appearance in Ice Cube's 1999 film Next Friday, Epps landed a series of successful roles, becoming an increasingly familiar face in film and television throughout the '00s, including a stint as host of the BET Hip Hop Awards from 2009-2012. On a stand-up tour in 2014, the ever-upbeat Epps established himself as a role model, taking time out of his busy touring schedule to speak to high school students about the dangers of bullying and the possibility of overcoming obstacles to achieve success.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Mike was an outstanding performer and he really kept the audience involved. His stand up related to current and up-to-date topics and he had everyone in the audience laughing all night!"

"Mike Epps is hilarious! I have seen him a couple times and we always get our money's worth! Would most definitely see him again!"

"I laughed until I had tears. We even got to meet him after and take a picture with him."

    Not for everyone

by P Man on 5/7/24The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las Vegas

The show started 30 minutes late then had 4 people before Mike Epps. Much of the humor was culturally based and not that funny if you are not a part of the culture. Compared to other comedy shows in Las Vegas we have seen like Bill Burr (whose humor spans cultures) this was a poor show. Waiting almost 1:30 minutes before the headliner is just too long. Would only recommend to people who would find the culturally based jokes funny, and those who want a three hour show.

Great show, great seating but the prices of the drinks!!! I’d go again but I’d have to get a loan to enjoy some adult beverages.

    Not my cup of tea

by Peachez on 5/7/24The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las Vegas

I felt that he repeated the same jokes from other shows. He continually disrespected woman. He told people that spoke out to shut up and to buy a more expensive ticket. I paid for a front row seat and felt that I did not get my money worth. I won't pay to see him ever again

    Bucket list

by JArts on 5/7/24The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las Vegas

Bucket list check off for us. Host-opener was great. Female opener not sure if it was not a good crowd or she having rough night but felt pretty bad for her. Crowd was not nice to her. Thinking she must be funny if on a show with Mike Epps. Loved the 3rd opener also. Stacey Taylor. Mike Epps was great. Show did not start on time. Possibly would see again.

    I had fun

by Sarah on 5/6/24The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las Vegas

The host and opening male act as well as Mike Epps were amazing. I get everyone has to start somewhere but I could have went without the female comedian Kat the first night he opened on May 3. However, my boyfriend and I have great love for Mike Epps and enjoyed the night at the Venetian.

    Disappointed

by Vegas Lu on 5/6/24The Venetian Theatre at The Venetian Resort - Las Vegas

I bought tickets for my birthday, expecting to be entertained. The show start time was supposed to be 8:30. The host of the show, came out around 9:30. There were two opening acts. The first was a lady who we all thought was a joke. She seemed impaired by alcohol or something else and did a long, run on flight of words. People were booing and walking out. I can’t get that time back, it was a waste of time. The second act wasn’t bad, he didn’t have a lot of charisma but earned some laughs. Then came Mike. His act was pieced from other acts he has done. He seemed tired. The act lacked belly laughing jokes. I was disappointed and do not feel I got my money’s worth.
