MIGHTY MYSTIC IN CONCERT:
East Coast reggae sensation Mighty Mystic combines laid-back grooves with socially conscious lyrics to arrive at a sound that's both relaxed and rich with meaning. Mystic and his backing group The Thunder Band create an all-encompassing atmosphere of love and positivity at their feel-good live shows, uplifting concertgoers with energetic performances of fan favorites like "Revolution" and "Concrete World". Their fresh sound always gets ticket buyers bouncing to the beat with a unique blend of classic roots reggae with rock and hip hop elements, making it the perfect soundtrack to one grooving concert experience. .
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Mighty Mystic, aka Kevin Mark Holness, was born in Jamaica, but he spent his formative years in Boston. In his late teens he discovered the city's small but vibrant hip hop scene and began performing as Mystic -- the childhood nickname of his father. He released his debut single "Red" in 2000, and by the middle of the decade he had scored several regional hits including "Riding on the Clouds" and "Revolution". His 2010 debut album Wake Up the World further established him as a reggae force to be reckoned with, drawing him out for extensive touring alongside big reggae acts like Steel Pulse, Damian Marley, and Toots and the Maytals. Mystic's rise continued in 2014 with his sophomore album Concrete World, a critically acclaimed collection that added bounce-worthy tracks like "Cali Green" and "Next Generation" to his vibed-out shows.
Mighty Mystic at Mickey’s Black Box was AMAZING. This is my second time seeing them there. The venue is awesome. Love being able to dance. The band is so talented and engaging. I hope they come back to Lititz again!
Show got moved inside to blue ocean hall cuz of the rain…usually would’ve been outdoors beach vibes but man way to turn those lemons into lemonade mighty mystic! The fans came out to support rain or shine and that dude delivered! Stellar job 🙌🏽

Mystic never ceases to amaze in the live show. He and the band absolutely killed it on Sunday night at Surfside. It still amazes me that he hasn't become a household name yet! The energy was great, vocals were great, band was great....

I'm going to be honest. I had never heard a mighty mystic song before going to this show. It was reggae night and they happened to be the main headliner. I am SO happy this is the night I chose to go. They were amazing! They're music is great, and they know how to put on a show. I was actually captivated by the while thing. I danced during every song, and was even able to catch on to most of the songs chorus because they were so catchy. Mighty Mystic has picked up a fan for sure.
Great time, great show. Only suggestion would be to to have Mighty Mystic start earlier and play longer.
