Mickey rules! He is the mad scientist of music.

by Cwadave on 9/21/13The Pageant - St Louis

Mickey put on his brain wave cap to start the second set. It was amazing watching his brain waves on the overhead screen.

    Keep It Up Mickey!

by Deadhead102 on 9/20/13The Pageant - St Louis

This show rocked! Mickey has complete control of the stage, and my brother thinks it's the best show he's seen since that fateful day in '95. If you get a chance, go.

    Mickey being Mickey!

by Kahuname on 9/20/13The Pageant - St Louis

Nice show from an extremely creative guy. Mickey can be pretty out there sometimes but always puts on an entertaining show. Some of Mickey's original work can be pretty psychedelic and of a style we don't hear a lot anymore so it's fun to hear. Nice mix of original Mickey and jazz fusion infused Dead tunes. I particularly liked West LA Fadeaway (midshow) and the GDTRFB encore. Too bad there were so few people there but those that were got their moneys worth.

    Mickey Hart

by Anonymous on 9/9/13The Fillmore - San Francisco

The show was one of the best shows from members of the Grateful Dead. Mickey continues to chart unknown territory. This time delving deep into his mind for inspiration. Creating rhythms by playing to the pulses in his cranium. Mickey has aligned himself with some incredible musicians. This night he had Indian tabla master Zakir Hussain join the band for the first set. The two of them together created magic for all. The show continued to delight as they played much of the new album along with Grateful Dead favorites like "The Pump Song" known as "Playing In The Band". They finished the evening with an encore of "Scarlet Begonia's" and "Fire On The Mountain" that sent everyone on their way with a big smile on their faces. We left hoping to collect a famous poster but alas they were not issued for this show. But, we took the music and the vibe and carried it into the night. Another magic evening at Bill's place. Thanks Uncle Bilbo!
