As one of the most in-demand writers, producers, and touring comedians around, Michael Loftus has made a career out of making people laugh. He got his start co-founding the improv theater troupe Midwest Comedy Tool & Dye in 1986 before relocating to Hollywood, where he eventually found work as writer and producer for hit TV series including The George Lopez Show, Outsourced, and Anger Management. In 2009 Loftus landed an hour-long stand-up special on Comedy Central called You’ve Changed that focused on his married life. That special led to a gig as commentator on The Smoking Gun Presents: World’s Dumbest, which in turn earned him a role as host on History Channel’s American Wiseass. He also stars on The Flipside, which serves as a conservative foil to liberal comedic news shows like The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. Throughout all these various endeavors Loftus has honed his stand-up routine, cracking fans up with his hilarious brand of conservative comedy on tour after tour.
