I love Melissa Ferrick. I have been going to see her live for years and she is just amazing.

Tons of energy, fun and great music. Melissa never lets us down.

Melissa Ferrick is the BOMB. Go see her wherever she is for a completely absorbing night of fantastic music--she is virtuoso on guitar---, great lyrics and passionate performance. She should sooo be more famous!!!Her band was also tops. Totally rocks.

It was my first time seeing Melissa Ferrick - and she was amazing! I went with my sister and her wife. I will see her again!

I've seen Melissa more than a handful of times and this was her best performance yet. I love the fact that she always shares her thoughts with the audience without pretending to be someone else. She lives and laughs and cries while we all watch. We are spectators of her talents and it is is pleasure to see that develop further into new phases in Melissa's life. She pre-viewed a few new songs and they were great, can’t wait to hear the new album. Melissa Ferrick is all heart snd bears all on stage. Pure soul and honesty.

Amazingly intense, heart wrenching singing one minute and cracking jokes the next. My first time seeing her, will definitely see her again. She also did a meet and greet, signed stuff and allowed pictures and chatted freely with her fans. we were a group of 10 and had a blast!! oh and the food was really good too!!

First, the Birchmere is a wonderful establishment. It's small enough to feel intimate but large enough to accomodate quite a lot of people. The atmosphere/decor is cool and nice. I've seen Melissa more than a handful of times and this was her best performance yet. Anyone that thinks that you have to be in anguish to write or perform music needs to up their meds :) Melissa seemed like she was enjoying herself and was comfortable in her own skin the entire time she was on stage, and was just as real when signing autographs. Not surprisingly-as she was on stage-her past performances seemed very self conscious; but this show was performed by a much more confident person; it was as if there had been a shift in outlook and demeanor. Perhaps it was just my best friend and I that noticed, but Melissa's show was still as fun, funny, moving, and wonderful; but it was presented with more maturity and ease.

If you're looking for music that will inspire you to really learn to play guitar, go see Melissa. If you want to laugh because it's just so damn funny (channeling Arlo), go see Melissa. If you admire a musician's musician, go see Melissa. You don't need to be familiar with her work...in fact, I envy anyone who just happens upon Melissa...she makes you sit up straight, look real hard, and stand up while you cheer. Good times.
