Mediaeval Baebes Tickets

I have always loved the Medieval Baebes since I first heard them more than a decade ago. Their stage presence and choreography is first rate. It's not just the singing. It's everything. I missed them at the Maryland Renaissance Festival, so I had to get my fix in, as they generally come to the States every other year. My only negative has to do with the food at the Birchmere. The prices are crazy given the lackluster quality of the items. Either increase the quality or drop the prices a bit.

Great show, lots of atmosphere and dancing. Music was amazing. After the concert they came out for autographs and pictures. A very talented and nice group of performers. I will definitely catch them next time they are in town.

I loved the performance and the relaxed seating. The sound was exceptional. Our seating offered good views of the stage. However, I didn't appreciate having to arrive at the Birchmere 2 hours early in order to get a decent seat. Also, the food was poor quality. One person in our party was ill afterward. I would go to the Birchmere again for its intimate setting but I wouldn't order any food.

Medieval Baebes put on an excellent show. From start to finish they were excellent performers that did not miss a step.

Awesome show. Simple staging, a layering of lighting that gave an almost bare stage exactly the right depth to not be distracted by the simplicity. It was ~nice~ to have someone on the sound board that knew how to keep the level of sound from getting too big for the space, yet big enough to sweep you up and draw you in. As always this group continues to delight and amaze with their talents, grace, and beauty. I traveled 5 hours each way to see these Ladies perform...and would do it every day of the week. The Birchmere is the right size, right configuration, and the right capacity for this group. I look forward to more shows in this venue.

Had never seen this group before, lovely voices and arrangements based on mediaeval melodies and texts. They sang quite a few songs and I did not feel like the show was too short in my opinion. 1 hr and 30 minutes was perfect timing.

Mediaeval Baebes is an unusual vocal group because they have the ability to transport you back in time to pre-christian or pagan times. Its a wonderful experience! At times, I felt that was attending a May Day or Beltame festival with songs singing praises to the Earth Goddess or unrequited love. With their dress and manner, we could have easily been in the court of King Arthur on a cool Fall or Winter's evening enjoying these enchanting bardes..

Despite miserable rainy weather which probably contributed to a half-empty club, the Mediaeval Baebes really delivered an excellent show. They have been one of my favorite groups for a long time and I own all of their CDs. I am thrilled to have been able to see them live. Too bad that a big city like NY can't manage to pack this club. Everybody in the audience gave them an enthusiastic demand for an encore and we sincerely appreciated receiving it.

The venue table staff weren't particularly quiet, and the kitchen door opening every three seconds should have been curtained or angled away from the audience. The projector screens didn't add anything to the experience. They were low-res, or especially did not do well with acts that are not backlit. No seats by the bar. (I'm sure someone thought it slowed down traffic, but whatever. A bar should have stools.) They wouldn't seat us until our fourth arrived, which was fine as far as it goes, but they could have offered as an alternative one of the many tables that would not have cut in front of most of the seating. It also decreased the time and check-building opportunity we had to order food. The performers were amazing! They deserve a 5 star rating, but the venue experience deserves 2.5.
